@EthanCords That’s really impressive. I honestly can’t imagine driving that many miles per day. Great news that the Bolt has held up so well.
English

@GreenTexanEV I got a refurbished pack at 72k miles during the Bolt’s battery recall. I often drive 200+ miles per day so I charge to 100% most nights and often run it down to 2% and DCFC multiple times a week, but degradation has been negligible and I get similar range to when I bought it!
English

@wholemars I really hope someone figures this out otherwise it’s going to be a Terminator situation
English

@TechOperator That’s terrifying. Good thing she verified the plate

Tesla Robotaxi and Cybercab cannot scale fast enough. I worry about my daughter whenever she travels. Here is a text I received from her as she left New Orleans last evening. I only changed her name for anonymity.
“We had a scary uber situation on the way here 😬 there was a car the same as the one picking us up and he rolled down his window and said something and I didn’t hear so I said “for Alecia?” And he said yes! Then I said “for George” (who was picking us up) and he said yes! He was saying he would take us to the airport for free?? then I noticed an uber sticker on his window (we had Lyft) and so I checked the license plate and it was wrong so I didn’t get in. The free thing was weird but easy to guess we were going to the airport because we had our suitcases. He drove away as soon as we checked the license plate so obviously was there impersonating an uber driver“

@TeslaNewswire Went by the service center in San Antonio to see if they were testing any but no luck

@TexasEV We need to completely rethink how we fund road repairs. It should be equal regardless of the powertrain. Mileage and vehicle weight is probably the best method
English

US House lawmakers propose $130 annual EV fee to pay for road repairs:

@KevinMelnuk @Hilbe @RJScaringe Especially if some of those people are YouTubers to get free publicity
English

@Hilbe @GreenTexanEV @RJScaringe How hard can this be? Answer: not hard. First solution, schedule a delivery event June 10th, announce the date, and invite 30 amazing R1 customers to take delivery. Start there.

@TesCalendar1 I actually think a dedicated hardwired unit is the way to go. Too many electricians cheap out when installing NEMA 14-50 outlets as Tom has showed on his excellent recharge rescue series
English

@GreenTexanEV Exactly! I’d 100% recommend a NEMA 14-50 which can be installed as cheap as $60 in parts. But if you can’t, there are solutions!

@TravisKetchum @Rivian @VolvoCarUSA @BMWUSA I’m gonna wait until next year to purchases an R2. Had issues with my Model 3 and Model Y as they were early builds, don’t want to make that mistake again.
English

@GreenTexanEV @Rivian @VolvoCarUSA @BMWUSA A Gen3 R2 will probably be ideal for you then if you can hold out.
English

Now that we have the configurators for the @Rivian R2, @VolvoCarUSA EX60, and the @BMWUSA iX3... we finally have a good idea about the tradeoffs for each.
With the OTA cadence and driver assistance roadmap, even for launch R2, it should do very well.

@MattWallaceTech I got a quote a few years ago and was surprised how much more they wanted
English

@RivianTrackr I listened to the RJ section, was disappointed
English

This was weird and unusual. A lot of press and politicians at the Rivian plant in Normal, IL but it was a nothing burger.

@jacecraftmiller @brandenflasch Wow, you aren’t kidding! No wonder it was so expensive
English

@GreenTexanEV @brandenflasch We are a designated Tree City USA and they were BIG! Here’s one that was coming down in a storm. We took them all out and the front yard is completely transformed. So worth it.

Posts like this make me want to chop down the trees around my house 🫣

Wow - the BUZZ gods were really looking out for us tonight!!! We had a HUGE maple tree fall tonight and it just BARELY missed the BUZZ. It almost looked like it was hugging the BUZZ - how fitting 😂
English

@TeslaTim2 I wish this was built into the vehicle vs having to use an adaptor
English

@jacecraftmiller @brandenflasch Good lord. How big were those trees?
English

@brandenflasch $7.5K in tree work last year. Exactly why we did it. At the very least have them look at what big leads should come down. In our case we had 7-8 that needed to come down but 3-4 that could just be trimmed.
