The visit is a precursor to the International Women's Day which we will be commemorated on 8th March. A sequel of visits have been planned to recognise eminent women who are over 70 years for their contribution to gender equality and women empowerment.

Honoured to visit Mrs. Joan Mjomba in Kilifi County today to recognise and appreciate her role in gender equality and women empowerment. Joan Mjomba was the first female mayor in Voi, Coast Province. She is also the founding member, National Council of Women.
