Drawing from my own experience coming out of the system and my labor background, I'm stepping up to help navigate the broken transition resources in Ottawa. We pour money into the system but it's inefficient and failing everyone from businesses and homeowners to the most in need

You can just enjoy watching others get their wins. Some guy my age will sell his company for $7 million next week. Some guy my age will celebrate 6 months of sobriety, and his first job that pays $25 an hour next week. I’m happy for both of these guys.

The 34yo dad spending a morning out with his wife and toddler thinks he’s the luckiest guy in the world. The 34yo guy who hung out until 2am last night with a Zoomer thinks he’s the luckiest in the world. The 34yo guy who lives in the country, hunts/fishes whenever he wants, and has an 90k truck thinks he’s the luckiest guy in the world. They’re all correct.

How do people in the suburbs genuinely look forward to Friday night on the couch, Saturday morning at Costco, and call that a weekend? Like you really moved out of the city just to LARP as your parents at 34?

@EdLatimore Prison sucks, if you go in thinking your going to be a hero, you still end up on a dawged out range . Not letting you use the phone less you pay, taking your food and canteen. Like you could be a regular guy but you still are in prison subculture.

@EdLatimore You do more damage to your child by going to jail, sex offenders live isolated existing in protective custody. There also exploited by hide out gangsters, that have politics, owe money for a package etc. Hard to hide unless your isolated 24 7. Enjoy the time with my kid.

A pedo does something unthinkable to your child. You catch him. Do you: A) Kill him. In this scenario, there is no "hiring someone else" or "getting away with it." If he's murdered, you're doing 8-12 years, and because you crossed state lines, it's Fed time away from home. You miss your kid growing up. B) Beat the living dog shit out of him and eat that charge too. But he beats the case, and you end up doing a 10-piece because it looks like you beat an innocent man into a coma. Again, this is Fed time, so miles away from home. C) Beat the hell out of him, but he'll live. You don't do time, but there's a 50% chance he walks. D) You don't hurt him at all. You call the police, and he ends up doing 10 years in a prison where you know 100% for sure that he's gonna be beaten up and pimped out to the booty bandits.

@Mikelionhart @AricaRKM @BrianAtlas you sound dumb but live in a fantasy in your head where all that you say is true wisdom. just because you say so doesn't make it true. most attractive people choose other attractive people. if an attractive person downgrades or settles, they have low self esteem or other defect

hard to put this into words but… don’t think i’ve ever felt more alone in this space people i thought were genuine friends don’t respond to dm’s group chats with my nft “bros” are dead countless people i communicated with for years just completely gone dm’s to KOLs organising events go unanswered dozens of hours of work trying to collab with peers gets very little recognition… just how i feel and the reason why i try to reply to every comment & dm because human interaction has always been, and especially now, is something we desperately need

@marka_eth It’s mostly a product of people being forced into survival from endless losses, rent took priority over dreams and ambitions - so the spark of potential that every conversation used to have is gone.

@MilkRoadAI I saw machin3s that do stuff at dairy farms, its newer tech, but its a feeding station where the bot milks it and the machine knows what cow it is, what supplements or diet they need etc, they eat and get milked at the same time that . Super expensive, food industry is wild.

This is WILD. Peter Thiel just bet $2 billion on a collar that wraps around a cow’s neck. The company is called Halter and it has a proprietary algorithm that runs the entire operation. They actually trademarked the name for it and called it the Cowgorithm and here's how it works. A farmer opens an app, taps a button, and 600,000 cows across three countries start walking toward the milking station on their own. No farm dogs, fences or physical labor, it's just a solar-powered GPS collar sending sound and vibration cues to each animal. The collar does more than move cows around. It monitors digestion, fertility cycles, and health patterns in real time, 24 hours a day, using machine learning trained on the behavior of hundreds of thousands of animals. Halter was founded by a rocket engineer who built spacecraft at Rocket Lab before deciding that farming was the bigger unsolved problem. US ranchers alone have already used the technology to build over 11,000 miles of virtual fencing, roughly the full perimeter of the continental United States, saving an estimated $220 million in physical fencing costs. Halter's previous funding round valued the company at $1 billion. This new round, led by Thiel's Founders Fund, doubles that valuation to $2 billion before the new money even hits the account. And they charge farmers between $5 and $8 per animal per month on a subscription model, meaning the more cows they collar, the more locked-in the revenue becomes. The most powerful venture capitalist on earth just decided that the future of food and farming runs through an algorithm named after a cow. He might be right.

Dawg you said it yourself: you're using it as a replacement for booze. So you are replacing one drug with another. So the comparison to methadone (or suboxone, if you prefer) is apt. This post might fool people who ain't ever seen the dope game in real life, but you're running the same playbook they run on the block. Except it's X instead of the projects. Tell em it aint so bad. Tell em how good they'll feel. Tell em it's better than the other work on the block. And of course you selling that shit...
