National Security should never be used as partisan political leverage. @HouseGOP has passed a full-year DHS funding package in bipartisan fashion two different times. Sadly, Senate Democrats would rather play political games than keep our skies, borders, and shores safe.

This is Dalilah, a 7-year-old who was hit by a driver who entered our country illegally under President Biden’s open border policies. After crossing the border, he was issued a CDL in California and later crashed his 18-wheeler into Dalilah and her family, leaving her with life-altering injuries. Today, we advanced Dalilah’s Law out of @TransportGOP to strengthen CDL standards and ensure drivers are qualified, lawful U.S. residents. This is a commonsense step to improve highway safety and protect Americans like Dalilah Coleman.

Food for Peace started in Kansas and has fed millions around the world. After over a year of working with the Trump Administration, our 2026 Farm Bill moves the program to USDA, its rightful home, so there is more accountability for taxpayer dollars, and American farmers remain at the center of feeding a hungry world.

Thank you to the hardworking men and women across the Big First who wake up early and work long days to feed a hungry world. I am honored to represent you and bring our Kansas values to the House of Representatives.

The 2026 Congressional Art Competition is now open for high school students across the Big First District. This year’s theme, “America 250: Kansas Edition,” celebrates the upcoming 250th anniversary of our nation and the patriotic values that define Kansas. Each year, one student’s artwork from the Big First is selected to hang in the U.S. Capitol for a full year alongside winning pieces from across the country. I encourage all high school students with a passion for art to submit their work and share their talent with the nation.

Everyday Americans shouldn’t be paying the price for Washington's dysfunction. Because Democrats refuse to fund the Department of Homeland Security, TSA agents are working without pay and travelers are facing longer lines at airports across the country. It’s past time for Senate Democrats to pass our bipartisan bill and end this shutdown.

Good agricultural policy starts by listening to farmers and ranchers. @HouseAgGOP spent years hosting Farm Bill listening sessions across the country, hearing from producers like those in the Big First about the challenges they face every day. That input helped shape the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026, and I am proud of the work done by our committee to support the people who feed, fuel, and clothe the world.

The world doesn’t wait for Congress, and rural communities are counting on us. I’ve taken to the House floor 34 times as part of my Farm Bill Impact Series to argue for a fiscally conservative, five-year farm bill that gives producers the certainty they deserve. Last week, @HouseAgGOP passed the Farm, Food, and National Security Act out of committee.

In the Big First, agriculture is our way of life. Over 60,000 Kansas farms and ranches power our communities and feed families across the country. Congress owes them policy that reflects the reality on the ground and gives them the certainty to keep doing what they do best. Our 2026 Farm Bill delivers exactly that.

We just passed the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 out of @HouseAgGOP committee.  This bipartisan legislation invests in our rural communities, opens new markets for Kansas producers, increases access to credit, and provides regulatory certainty for our farmers and ranchers. I look forward to getting this legislation passed by the House and Senate and signed into law so that the agricultural community has the support it needs to feed, fuel, and clothe the world.

Last summer, @HouseAgGOP delivered conservative wins for our farmers and ranchers through the Working Families Tax Cuts. The Farm, Food, and National Security Act builds on that work by focusing on rural investment, increasing access to credit, broadening the farm safety net, and opening up trade markets for American agriculture.

Kansas agriculture depends on strong export markets. @HouseAgGOP begins marking up our 2026 Farm Bill tonight, which expands trade promotion programs, reduces unnecessary bureaucracy, and prioritizes American commodities in food assistance programs. This is what Kansans voted for.

Food security is national security. @HouseAgGOP’s 2026 Farm Bill prioritizes American commodities, strengthens export markets, and protects our food system from foreign influence. Kansas producers feed, fuel, and clothe the world. I will always support policies that keep them competitive on the global stage.

Since 1954, Food for Peace has delivered American-grown commodities to a hungry world while projecting soft power and supporting our producers at home. I introduced legislation and worked for months with the Administration to return this critical program to its rightful home at @USDA, ensuring American-grown commodities remain at its core. Our 2026 Farm Bill makes that change permanent.

For decades, the Iranian regime and their proxies have threatened Americans, persecuted their own people, and undermined peace and stability in the Middle East. I support @POTUS taking decisive action to deliver peace through strength in the region, ensuring that Iran does not have the capacity to create nuclear weapons or continue to support terrorism across the globe.
