We can’t let up on the Hasan thing. We did with defund the police and 6 years later a majority of voters still think we want to do it

The amount of centrist propaganda being pushed down my throat on twitter is awfully telling.

@reesetheone1 AOC does really well with labor though. I live near Gary, Indiana. I have lived in Ohio Michigan and Illinois. Her labor support would offset some of her shortcomings in cities. AOC would do better here then Newsom

@PaulSorrentino3 I mean they didn't start this. Anti-establishment is having a moment and party leadership is willing to let extremist republicans ruin america to stop losing their grip on the party.

@theurbaneist @DeepNotShallow I totally disagree with this. The problem is that moderates concede reality to GOP on what is radical. As you elect more moderates, but extreme conservatives. The spectrum steadily shifts to the right over time. Sitting politicians who would cut minimum wage. DSA isn't radical.

In 2024 more low information swing voters saw Harris's record and statements on inflation, immigration, and trans issues as too far left than saw Trump's positions as too far right. One of the keys to Trump's success has been appearing to be more moderate than most Republicans on unpopular issues during elections.

If centrists actually cared about electability they'd focus on swing seats. That's it. But they don't. They fight tooth and nail over D+50 safe blue seats. It was never about electability. It's about control for their corporate donors.

@RepThomasMassie @SenRickScott @grok Massie, how do you not see Trump as the best thing to come along giving us ANY hope to get spending down? Why hate on the man? Let him work his plan. Support him or STFU. He's without doubt the best chance we've had in decades. In our lifetimes.

America is over $39 TRILLION in debt. If it were up to DC politicians, nothing would EVER change. This is unsustainable! President Trump wants a balanced budget — and I’m fighting to help MAKE IT HAPPEN so our kids and grandkids have a strong future!

@ZaidJilani One of the biggest lessons DSA should be picking up from Mamdani is that just because republicans are going to brand you as unhinged radicals. Doesn't mean we have to deliver messaging that way. If you are willing to get out there and make the case to working people. It works.

Zohran Mamdani is like five times more moderate than AOC; he’s much better at politics he even convinced the bigot GOP president to fall in love with him. I don’t buy comparisons between the two.

@bhaviklathia @reesetheone1 We are so tired of california and new york in the midwest. But AOC could do it before Gavin. It has nothing to do with man or woman, black white or latino. Just no more coastal corporatists

@reesetheone1 Democratic strategist raised in mid-Michigan and with *lots* of experience winning in Wisconsin. AOC could win in WI and MI. Newsom would struggle because voters in those states hate weather vanes.

It sucks that we could lose the senate because DC pundits and soft, California, millionaire pod bros saw a scruffy beard and a flannel shirt and lost their minds
Graham Platner for Senate@grahamformaine

Over the last eight months, I've sadly had to deal with a certain kind of person. They're in DC, they think they're political geniuses, and they view us up in Maine as a malleable mass to be manipulated, messaged to, and tricked. And their time is over.

@DeepNotShallow Clinton and Harris weren’t centrists.. Everyone loves crafting a narrative to support their beliefs to push the next candidate and you don’t need to do that. If you understand the reason they lost then it’s easy to see on the presidential level a centrist or progressive can win.

Centrists say centrism wins hard seats. Clinton lost. Kamala lost. Meanwhile Platner and Talarico are polling to flip Republican Senate seats as unapologetic progressives. Offer voters Republican-lite and they'll choose the real thing every time.
Neera Tanden🌻@neeratanden

Rep David Valadao has won multiple hard races, in a very moderate district. The purpose of these primaries is not to win ideological battles within the Democratic party - it is to beat the Republican and take back the House. Please act accordingly.

Democrats are DESPERATE! The bill that the Senate passed- aka “Hakeem’s Dream” is America’s worst nightmare. House Republicans are saying HELL NO to this bill, and instead fight to fund ICE, CBP, and HSI. It’s time to put an end to this madness. It’s time to make America safe again!

Politicians - especially Dems - should pledge not to take AI money. They are buying up influence ahead of the midterms, and Dems who take AI $ will lose authority and trust as the public bears the cost. Their money will end up being toxic anyway. People are catching on.
