@cornbreadcowboi I have to be real with you, King Cornbread: the SC “hash” concoction that’s been ripped to shreds online doesn’t look appetizing. Honestly, it just looks like half digested mush. Y’all can love it all you want, but it’s not exactly visually attractive.

You can enjoy both Carolina BBQ and Texas BBQ while understanding the difference and similarities of each cuisine. But for any outsider of South Carolina style BBQ I highly recommend you try hash & rice even though it might look like puke for somebody who has never had it but it is 10/10 delicious. Trust me.

@CityLimitsQ I have to keep it 💯 here. If I ever go to a USC tailgate and get served this, I’m lighting the entire place on fire. The tent, the grass, the buildings…. It’s all coming down to prevent this abomination from escaping SC and infecting the rest of our population.

I love how every time a Texas style BBQ restaurant opens in a region with another distinct BBQ style, it without fail ends up being called the “best BBQ restaurant.” And yet people will still try to argue that Texas BBQ isn’t the best.

If you’re not from SC and are criticizing this I will say a prayer for you for not getting to enjoy a proper plate of bbq. Bless your heart. Texas has brisket. Memphis has ribs. South Carolina and South Carolina only has hash. You won’t find a plate of real hash outside of SC.
