@PWestoff @policeconduct @HantsPolice I spent 8 years in military law enforcement with riot control being a huge part of what we trained for. Yes, these civilian police officers look like a mob. They are not behaving like a professional police force. You do not use blunt force weapons or shields to strike… (more)
English

Dear Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC)
@policeconduct - the @HantsPolice officers are using their shields as weapons, including the edges, as they mob beat lone individuals. Is this legal? Do you condone police officers shouting "I'm going to fuck you up" before they mob beat lone men?
You seem to have completely lost control of Hants Police who are operating well outside the law. I am a 63 year-old middle-class man. I admired and defended the British police for most of my life - up until Covid, actually.
But I fear you and hate you now. You have become something last seen in Ceausescu's Romania where his Securitate thugs gang-beat their victims. You have now lost the country and the consent of the British people. You are our enemy, and the enemy of decency, bravery, courage, and civilisation itself. God Damn all of you to hell you vicious sub-human scum. @elonmusk

@DannyShawNews There’s already local policing areas headed by a senior officer
We don’t need a National Police Service we have regional crime squads, SIB, NCIS etc etc already
The Gov knows nothing about policing

@MrsRatters The writers spent a lot of time with Lancashire Police when doing their research. One spent some time on my shift. They were only really after the salacious war stories. Some of the idiots obliged with every story going, whether true or false. Great TV though

I cannot recommend this series enough! Filmed in the early 90s when I first watched it but just watched again on BBC 4. The most authentic police programme I’ve ever seen. If you’re job or ex, you’ll know. If you’re not then this was pretty much the reality folks! #B4woke!

@RussellFindlay1 @AnasSarwar Hi Russell, what is your view on whether the UK should get military involved in Iran?
English

One minute Anas Sarwar demands that serially weak and useless Keir Starmer should quit.
Now he's launching a swivel-eyed attack on Kemi Badenoch and our party in a desperate attempt to deflect from Starmer's weakness on Iran.
Make your mind up @AnasSarwar

@Unusual_Times @TRobinsonNewEra @bedspolice Or simply the officer who works shifts and also has other matters to deal with got the chance to speak to you.
English

@TRobinsonNewEra @bedspolice Had this happen to me, middle of the night the coppers decided to call round to take a statement from me (for a crime I had reported). I'm sure this bullshit is deliberate just to piss people off.

Care to explain why you was banging at my kids door at 2am this morning @bedspolice

@ScottyPR1 @74frankfurt The prefabs at Prospecthill Rd? Confused at the lack of covers at Hampden. Don’t know why, but I assumed the covers were always over the ground.
English

@jasmclaughlin2 @74frankfurt The prefabs were nearer where the police station is now IIRC

@WeHaveWaysPod Did you see Antques Roadshow last night? It had the medals and in-action photos from one of the navigators involved in attacking the Bismarck.

We are devastated to announce the death of Ground Safety Officer Mark Farnworth on Monday 5th January.
Every member of the PNE staff was distraught when they were informed yesterday afternoon of Mark’s passing. Their reaction was a real testimony to the way in which he was respected both inside the club and in the wider community.
Mark joined PNE as Ground Safety Officer in February 2013 after 24 years of distinguished service with the Lancashire Police force.
Everyone connected with Preston North End Football Club will miss him dearly as a colleague and as one of the most respected Ground Safety Officers in English football.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Deborah, his children Hannah, Victoria, Laura, Grace and Tom, all of his grandchildren and of course his friends.
Mark was an outstanding family man and was initially taken ill on a family holiday last July and we, along with his family must thank and pay tribute to all in the National Health Service for their professionalism and care over the last few months.

@JimFergusonUK The problem is the police are indoctrinated to believe they are above the rank of the man in the street.
Likewise the man in the street is indoctrinated to believe he does not have the rights he has.
When the man in the street is educated, balance is restored and freedom ensues

🚨 THE PUBLIC HAS HAD ENOUGH — POLICE MUST FOLLOW THE LAW LIKE EVERYONE ELSE
Across the UK, more and more officers are refusing to show their warrant cards when asked — and the public is rightly pushing back.
Let’s be absolutely clear:
If an officer is not in uniform, they MUST show their warrant card.
If they are in uniform, they SHOULD show it when asked — it’s not optional “courtesy.” It’s professional obligation.
When exercising stop-and-search powers, they MUST identify themselves properly, including name or number and station.
This isn’t about being “anti-police.”
This is about the rule of law — the same law the police claim to uphold.
A badge, a uniform, a vest — none of these replace lawful identification.
And in a time when trust in policing is collapsing, refusing to identify yourself only fuels suspicion.
The public has EVERY right to:
• Ask for identification
• Record the interaction
• Refuse compliance until the officer identifies themselves
• File formal complaints if they don’t
No one in this country — not even the police — is above accountability.
If officers want the respect of the public, then they must follow the law to the letter.
Because the rule of law either protects all of us — or it protects none of us.

@JimFergusonUK Can you show me where, in law, a uniformed officer has to show their warrant card? Or, are you just being a shit stirrer?
English

@Corco_101 @RobGilbey Britain hasn’t existed for 800 years. Who do you mean?
English

@RobGilbey Ahhh yeah "protection" dressed up as 800 years of war, death, famine, discrimination and oppression.
Thanks so much.
English

Happy to accept British protection.
Unhappy to accept British opinion.
Make it make sense.
*Irish Sea Border@HibernianSea
@RobGilbey Ah, a British think tank dictating to the Irish. That’ll go down well.
