@fOx1257067 I haven’t seen it in probably 40+ years. I just watched this ending and it still gives me the willies. I remember it clear as a bell. Dear god who let us watch these shows?! No wonder why GenX is weird and awesome.

Released in 1975, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi was an animated television special directed by legendary animator Chuck Jones and based on the classic story by Rudyard Kipling. The story follows a brave mongoose who takes on two deadly cobras to protect the family that rescued him. For a generation of kids, it was one of those rare animated films that felt genuinely intense. The stakes were real, the villains were terrifying, and you couldn't help but root for Rikki-Tikki every step of the way. More than 50 years later, it's still remembered as one of the finest animated adaptations ever put on television. Did you watch Rikki-Tikki-Tavi growing up?

@fOx1257067 @Keithhambone I remember there was an uproar when they put this on TV after a Charlie Brown special… parents in the 70s saw ‘cartoon’ and just left their kids in front of the television. I was one of them. I still have nightmares 😆😱

@omgsidewalks None of what you said….(even if 100% true) means that billion dollar companies arent built through hard work

No billionaire actually built a billion dollar company through hard work. Apple’s cofounder said the garage story is a myth. Bezos got a $300k investment from his parents. Google’s founders were Stanford grads with access to venture capital. Stop promoting the bootstrap ideology.

Yes. It’s not slow counting that organically spawns conspiracy theories. It’s Republican lying, full stop. And the people who pretend otherwise—anti-anti Trumpers and mainstream media figures trying to burnish their cred—are useful patsies to enemies of democracy.
Matthew Yglesias@mattyglesias

How come there are no conspiracy theories about Maine's very slow ranked-choice tallying? It's almost as if it's not the slowness of the count, per se, that gives rise to these theories so much as it is people deliberately lying.

Jeffrey Kessler, Brendan Sorsby’s attorney, has also sent a letter to the Big 12. Comes in the wake of Texas AG letter. "A boycott of Texas Tech or of Mr. Sorsby would be a per se violation of antitrust laws and expose the Big 12 and each of its boycotting members to substantial liability. There is no defense to a per se unlawful boycott of this type, and Mr. Sorsby will hold the Big 12 and its members fully accountable for their actions." on3.com/news/big-12-th…

@neoavatara Under Texas law the AG's office represents state agencies such as A&M, UT, UofH & Tech in litigation matters. The solution you want is for Paxton to both refuse to represent Tech and not give his (required) ok for Tech to hire its own outside counsel ... in an election year ...
