In all seriousness, I considered feature flagging the prompt earlier this week so as @revcd was testing, I could inject things like “explain yourself using limericks” at random intervals.

@chrija @ylecun @pmarca @ESYudkowsky @tegmark AFAIK his take is that they will be under our control. It seems naive to me. Even if true, not all humans are aligned . So who controls them will be extremely important.

I’d genuinely love to hear a coherent refutal of “AI doomerism”. I’d love for @ylecun and @pmarca to be right, but while @ESYudkowsky, @tegmark and others convincingly lay out the case for AI risks in a lot of detail, I have not yet seen anything comparable from the other side.
All I’ve seen are “arguments” like “it doesn’t live”, “it won’t have its own goals” or “it doesn’t want to dominate” - without any serious attempts to refute the specific arguments by @ESYudkowsky and others.

In this case I think both is better. You should be able to get to profitability in B2B within 18 months. There is a new focus on cash flow we haven’t seen in a long time.
