Our red @ternbicycles GSD S10, 'Scarlett' passed the 1000 mile mark this evening on my way to collect my daughters from after school activities. Just two days short of our one year delivery anniversary, and on the lovely cycle friendly streets of @wfcouncil

@SaskiaHeijltjes Eco getting to work by myself, Tour with kids on the back. Sport or Turbo if I want to make the kids squeal or want to get away from the lights quickly because I'm unsure of the driver behind me.

E-bike users: what setting do you use most of the time? I want to know just because I'm curious btw 😅 (options based on a Bosch motor, not sure what the assist settings are called on others, but you get the idea)

@JoRigby_Balham @AldiUK @TfL In Tottenham they ban shopping trolleys from the store. They have to be left at the entrance and collected to be loaded on exit.

West Bank wins the 👑 for my least fav road to cycle down. It’s part of my CS1 commute. The cycle lane is 1 way. On the return, you have to ride on the road. I get beeped & shouted at by driver behind me 9 out of 10 journeys to move over. Grim😫 Anyone else have this issue?

@johnineurope321 @francesca_kms I'll just pull out in front of motor traffic without warning if I meet someone coming the other way in the cycle lane. That's so much better than adding less than ten seconds to someone's journey by following the highway code.

@francesca_kms You only have to ride on the road if somebody is cycling towards you. If nobody is cycling towards you, then just cycle in the lane for long enough to let cars through

@Gravemi77327855 @francesca_kms Remove the wands and it'll become parking. Even with wands, some people struggle to understand it's a cycle lane.

@Philthomas1968 @francesca_kms No, southbound cycles take the contraflow lane, the northbound cycle route is in the main traffic lane.

@francesca_kms This is only a guess based on the parking but it looks like a one way street. Cars and bikes go one way on that road and are meant to return via another route?

@francesca_kms Depressingly I also obey the one way rules on my bike and although I get tailgated as I hold the lane going north I can't remember being beeped. I might be a little faster but I'm also clearly male which might be the key factor 😞

@CarolineRussell @sajeraj @BNHWalker It's a bad graph, no doubt about it. I think the risk to Labour is the first year of FPTP in London mayoral elections. I (Lab worried about environment) previously would vote Green 1st expecting a Lab mayor win with my 2nd pref. I agree, a Green or LD vote now risks a Tory win.

@sajeraj @BNHWalker Not just 2021 result ignored. No ref to 2012 or 2016 results either. Greens third in race for Mayor for last three elections. And we beat LDs on Assembly list vote in 2016 and 2021. Are Labour worried about us?

Did you see us last night? @stjohnambulance MRT volunteers worked jointly with @ldn_ambulance yesterday, aiming to deliver high quality prehospital care in central London, where road closures had made it inaccessible to ambulances. Happy New Year!

@NeverEnoughShoe And if you've cleaned them at the suggested frequency and they're still not clean, consider purchasing replacements. Unfortunately they're not cheap compared to the cost of a new cleaner, but does mean sending far less to landfill.

@YuconGold @francesca_kms Cycling for more journeys, not every journey. The coach might use a car to carry equipment (if there's none at the venue) but then no one else needs to bring 10 balls. If half the kids cycle and the other half come by car, that would still be a massive traffic reduction.

@IsSaddleThereIs @mikehakata I'm hoping they're loading bays and /or disabled parking for the retail which aren't yet marked up due to traffic management during construction. Likelihood of being used as free on street parking? 💯

New street layout in 2023 in Ashley Road, Haringey. Why @mikehakata are we giving up spaces for cars which are parked for an average of 96% of the time, instead of proving decent cycle tracks? Why are we still having this conversation in 2023? Have we learned nothing? 😔😔😔
