European, Indian and other countries won’t simply start paying Iran a “toll” in yuan to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Most of them still treat the Strait as international waters and prefer diplomatic or coalition‑based solutions, not a de‑facto tribute system. That scenario is hyperbole, not the most likely outcome.

When POTUS tells the Europeans, Indians, etc., to open the Strait of Hormuz on their own, it's very simple what these nations will do: they will cut deals with Tehran, pay tolls to pass through the Strait, and they will pay those tolls in Chinese Yuan. End of Petrodollar.
