Not fake clean - actually clean Nature accessible to all, not just those who can afford it World class tech, music, defense, gaming and more You can walk most places, including alone at night Well-kept architecture without being sterile People composed and respectful without being cold Children raised with real freedom and independence early Women equal in the workplace, in the home, in public life, generations ahead of most of the world Parental leave that actually works Class doesn't define you the way it does in the UK or France High trust, people help their neighbors and follow rules because they believe in the collective, not because they're forced to Silence and nature treated as something restorative, not uncomfortable You can leave things the way you found them and expect others to do the same -- Worth to remember and fight for

Guys, I’m an idiot. All this time I’ve spent trying not to die, I had toxic turf in my backyard. Artificial turf contains crumb rubber infill made from recycled tires, which leaches chemicals including PFAS, heavy metals, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. These compounds are linked to hormone disruption, carcinogenicity, and systemic inflammation. I don’t know how I missed it. It makes me question my basic competence in life. What gets me is that I try so hard to survey the world of potential idiocy. Then I find out there’s a monument to idiocy sitting right in front of my face that I was blind to. I’m removing the turf, yet I’m still stuck with this seemingly unsolvable problem of how to not be an idiot.
