@bee_fumo Same, Wish more devices used USB C though or desktops had more USB C ports. You get more throughput with an all USB C setup since you get multiple ports that can do multiple things instead of several different ports for specific things.

I genuinely do not understand people's annoyance with all-USB-C devices.

@bee_fumo As much as i LOVE hating on GNOME i think we all have to agree that GNOME caters towards people who don't want to play with their system and just use it for work. If there's no one main normie friendly DE/Entity then all other DEs will inherit GNOME's fundamental problems.

Artix Linux joins the ranks of Linux distributions refusing to comply with Age Verification laws. A developer for the systemd-free distro, based on Arch, stated simply: “We'll NEVER require any verification or identification from the user.” #msg55607" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">forum.artixlinux.org/index.php/topi…

@thecowmilk @LundukeJournal People dislike sysd for many reasons, Be it due to it doing literally everything (Or rather the project itself doing more than it's supposed to) Or in my case the fact that it's absurdly slow. Obv there are other reasons such as leadership and such, But generally it's those two.

SystemD has added birth date storage in order to comply with Brazil and California Age Verification laws. Let that sink in. A Linux init system now handles Age Verification. github.com/systemd/system…

@librecomputer Alternatively more distributions need to offer more choices for init systems just like they do with DEs.

@bee_fumo Who said this had to make any sense? This whole "Age verification" thing is just a ploy to get more of your data and to lock you down even more than you already are. You will own nothing and be happy. You will have no freedom or control. Comply and do not resist.

It just doesn't make sense to have age verification on the operating system level.

@mecoscorner Humm... Well i gave up on sky1-linux since it didn't work and didn't seem to improve. Lots of people complained about the same thing so yeah.. Also after a brief look at the code it looked like a bit of a mess, I highly doubt this would go anywhere long term.

I'm hoping we can get radxa to colab with neol or add a link to this UEFI somewhere, I get that overclocking is dangerous, But the other fixes provided by this UEFI are sooo worth it.

Kind of embarrassing for CIX how a single guy (Neol from radxa forums) was able to significantly improve this SoC's usability in a matter of a few months.. The only thing missing now is onboard iGPU and i can call devices with this SoC worthy of purchasing for general users.
