Are we really doing this again? Of course we are. Under the first amendment, the White House may not pressure ABC to fire a comedian because of his jokes. Melania is entitled to her opinion, of course, but unfortunately, this administration has shown itself more than willing to pursue their enemies for their speech.

Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America. People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate. A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough.  It is time for ABC to take a stand.  How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.

Uh, they actually did have to invade the South and burn large parts of it. Grant and Lee's armies were losing thousands of men, tens of thousands of men in clashes. Shooting, bayoneting. Cannonading. Maybe even slitting throats, too. It was carnage. A bloody stalemate. Sherman gets bad press down south, but there are a lot of Southerners alive today because his march hastened the end of it, and their great-great-grandfathers got to live. OK, southerners are now welcome to pile on.
