@sharrond62 It's like where you grew up in Plymstock. 15 minute walk to the library, GP, PO, shops in Elburton & Plymstock. Or drive further afield if you choose to. Not like being stuck out in Sherford before any services in place Get it?

I’m so not up for 15 min communities. It will not work for families with active kids doing all sorts of activities. And whilst the little people get to live confined with little choice those in the WEF fly in their jets & on their yachts telling ‘ the people’ to reduce their lives. Who voted for these globalists?
Wide Awake Media@wideawake_media

"Would you be happy sharing, not owning, a car?" The WEF: "The Netherlands is building a neighbourhood where every car must be shared. There'll be one vehicle for every three homes, and no space for privately owned cars." "Residents will be encouraged to cycle, use public transport, or borrow from a pool of shared cars... And everything that residents need will be within walking distance." So, in response to the WEF's question, WOULD you be happy sharing, not owning, a car? 🤔

Whilst Exeter revels in abandoning its only LTN. Bath, with around 40k people less than Exeter is launching it's 11th LTN. One of these west country cities is transforming to suit its residents, the other is sticking it head in the sand pursuing antiquated transport planning.

⚠️@frankum_ian misinformation alert! He's been sharing this chart on FB claiming "despite 71% [saying] they were AGAINST the 12 hour [bus lane] option [DCC] proceeded to propose it." Er, actually more were in favour of a 12 hour lane than reduced hours. 1/2

@ExeterStreets We shouldn't have to assume. As a Councillor for the area, who promised to be responsive & act on pollution, surely she should be explaining her views. Perhaps she isn't Independent at all, but instead dependent on what her Promoter thinks she should say.

@ThinkingMummy We have seen Cllr Haigh speak with real passion on both AQ & easy travel for elderly & disabled people. So, assume wld be supportive. There is, of course, a 30 min parking issue here too. Luckily, there is free Blue Badge parking at Gordon's Place <100 metres away.

Of course 20mph limits will be set where some drivers think the "aren't needed". That's why we have speed limits and they are set for the good of society as a whole rather than the preferences of individual drivers.

About no. 15 in the thread... "Look for times when people's lives are disrupted and GO IN HARD to encourage change at this point." DCC did virtually no comms before, during or after the Heavitree & Whipton AST. Is that one reason why it failed?

@philbialyk @countcaspargh @steve_race @ExeterCouncil Hi Phil, as a newly-appointed member of HATOC you voted to stop the Active Steets Trial. Other @ExeterCouncil members, who you lead, also sit in HATOC and have voting rights, so you are part of the decision-making process here. Caspar is right ask you about on this vital issue.

@philbialyk @countcaspargh @steve_race @ExeterCouncil Take some leadership! Stop trying to shift the blame away from you. You voted to scrap a safe streets scheme, and voted to stop a plan for a slight extension in bus lane times. You lead the party with a majority on that committee, and majority of your party voted with you!
