No one bets $1.5 billion unless they are sure and have insider information. This isn’t the first time either. There should be an outcry in the USA about this. Also unnoticed by many, SEC Enforcement Division Director Margaret Ryan resigned last Monday after just over six months on the job, after clashing with her bosses over investigating Trump family trades.

$1.5 BILLION. Let me say it again - a $1.5 BILLION BET. Bigger than any futures purchases made at the time. 5 minutes before Trump's post. Who was it? Trump? A family member? A White House staffer? This is corruption. Mind blowing corruption.

@TickFlickBoo Hi, I am afraid this service has been delayed by train crew being delayed; this service will run fast to Woking, apologies ^MC
English

@pegga1967 @sharkbaitza @EnglandRugby Agreed. Bewildering game management. They just needed to soak up the time by running through the phases. The end was clearly in sight.
English

@sharkbaitza @EnglandRugby I disagree. Why put the ball in the air once you have taken the lead with 2 minutes to go? After that you are on the back foot.
English

@ROCKInTheUSSA A man who has dodged service and mocked members of the military stands there wearing a baseball cap as commander in chief. How honourable.
English

@TickFlickBoo He's the top officer - the literal Commander in Chief - of the ENTIRE military!
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Did you take stupid pills this morning?

@RoguePOTUSStaff Leaving the hat on for this moment, classy as ever...
English

@harey2805 @EnglandRugby @Federugby @O2UK So much this. Would actually be a statement if this happened before the end of the tournament. This team has been a national embarrassment
English

@EnglandRugby @Federugby @O2UK Congrats to Italy. For England - it takes some talent to coach this group of players into the utters shambles they are. Bereft of ideas, can't execute the basics, constantly giving away penalties and so many yellow cards. Borthwick has to go. And before next weekend
English

@EnglandRugby You need to sack Borthwick immediately. You have humiliated us on the international stage

@steve_hanke Sadly these facts will prove to be irrelevant in political terms. He’ll just invent a version that he prefers, say whatever he likes (peppered with insults and vitriol) and his base will unconditionally believe him
English

@BennMark9370 @helenlewis @John_Stepek Exactly this. At worst, the decision is made in advance that a child 'can't deal' or 'can't cope' with something, so they're not even expected to try. I saw a lot of this in the vitriol about Alton Towers' recent attempts to modify their ride access policy.
English

@SteveEaton39415 @sheffiela01 @helenlewis This obsession with pathologisation is really critical to the issue. I also struggle with the foundational premise that there is a normative baseline of energy expended in social interactions that people with ASD aver from. It's clearly far more dynamic than that.
English

It's tricky - I want to be empathetic and compassionate, but equally, there are a shocking number of normal behaviours that are being pathologized. If we're all neurodivergent, then neurodivergent doesn't exist, because the word means a deviation from 'normal'. But if neurodivergent is normal then it cancels itself out.
English

@helenlewis @John_Stepek Agreed. As the article points out, there may be additional complexities to developing resilience but it seems to me most current strategies don't make any effort in this direction at all and surely in the medium and long term that can't be helpful.
English

@John_Stepek Yes. I am also interested in the discussion of accommodations (eg ear defenders) because I can see an argument -- along the lines of early peanut exposure -- that too much accommodation might be counterproductive.
