Terrific example of how, when people say “AI doesn’t have that human touch,” what they’re really saying is they don’t actually know what that means or how it’s reflected in the writing. They just don’t like AI. Humans can’t tell when a robot wrote it. And robots can’t tell when a human wrote it.

One of the games Im never going to indulge for even a second is this "avert your eyes" game with women. Everyone knows what is happening. People look at each other. It's normal. Sometimes there's a sexual related thought flying through at 100sms, most of the time not. And either is fine. At every level, leftists are attempting to moderate even the slightest aspect the normal, healthy human experience and turn it into a nightmarish dystopian fantasy novel.

I’ve had this post pinned to my profile since early November 2024 because of what it represented to me: my daughter’s first time exercising her right to vote. My belief, despite having doubts, in the democratic process. My belief in a movement and person I felt would fight for real change. I recently unpinned it given what I am experiencing … feelings of betrayal, confusion, anger, gullibility. And instead of fellow patriots understanding these very real feelings MANY are experiencing, we are met with insults (doomer, panican, libtard) completely unwarranted and childish AF. I’ll say it again, it takes a helluva lot more courage to go against the grain than to be a simp for it. RIP to the America I longed for and tried to believe in. 😢

My girl just voted for the first time! Question: she had to turn her shirt inside out as we were told it was illegal to wear a political shirt to vote. Is that true????

There’s a guy at my gym who only does barbell squats on leg day. No leg press. No lunges. No leg extensions. Just squats, set after set, then he leaves. The funny part? He has some of the best legs in the entire gym. Makes you wonder. Are we overcomplicating leg days?

So turns out Peter Attia lacked a moral compass. Now that we know this to be true, it is very important to also realize there are other grifters, who also lack a moral compass, who will use Peter’s downfall to run game on you. They will do this by leveraging black and white thinking. They will reintroduce an unrelated disagreement they had with his health advice over the years, and try to convince you since he was morally wrong about his own life choices, they were correct about their unrelated disagreements. Don’t fall for it. Just because Peter was a trash human, doesn’t mean some of his detractors can’t also be trash humans. Plenty of trash to go around.

This is a must read. A study in the New England Journal of Medicine showed that simply following evidence-based guidelines reduced Vitamin D testing by 25.3% and saved nearly $112,000 (!!!) Vitamin D is one of the most "abused" test-and-treat practices in medicine. Low vitamin D levels are linked to a large number of diseases, but supplementing vitamin D rarely fix them. In fact, all the studies on vitamin D has been mostly neutral and largely negative. Correlation ≠ causation. Low Vitamin D is often a marker of poor health, not the driver of diseases. High Vitamin D levels often reflect a healthy lifestyle (outdoor activity, better diet, fitness). The benefit comes from the lifestyle, not just the vitamin level. When in large high quality trials (like VITAL or D2d) researchers gave vitamin D supplements to general populations, it failed to prevent cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. Sickness causes low Vitamin D, not the other way around. This thelogic of reverse causality. Vitamin D as a disease marker is like the Fire-Fighter logic. Firefighters are always found at the site of fires, but they don't cause them. Similarly, low Vitamin D is often a responder to bodily stress. Pumping up the levels artificially is like sending more firefighters. It doesn't necessarily mean they will put out the fire. "Vitamin D is associated with disease" is a story about risk markers. "Supplements prevent disease" is a claim that science mostly doesn't support. This is why fixing the number on the lab report (especially a low vitamin D) with a pill doesn't always translate to fixing the patient's health. Supplement Vitamin D only in these situations (as per guidelines). For the rest, stop wasting people's money on testing and vitamin D supplementation. [1] Children and adolescents (1–18 years) to prevent nutritional rickets and potentially reduce respiratory infections. [2] For adults with high-risk prediabetes, the guidelines suggest empiric Vitamin D supplementation. Studies (like the D2d trial analyses) suggest this may help reduce the progression from prediabetes to Type 2 diabetes. [3] In pregnant women, to lower the risk of pre-eclampsia (high blood pressure risk), intrauterine mortality (death of fetus in uterus), and preterm birth. [4] Only in older adults (75+ years) - to potentially lower mortality risk. That fatigue you feel. That hair loss you developed. That skin colour change you see. That poor sleep you experienced. That muscle pain you have and that non-specific joint discomfort you feel every week - guess what? Those are not because of a low vitamin D. Some actually develop these symptoms AFTER testing for vitamin D and finding it to be low. Stop listening to useless influencers, science illiterate nutritionists and dietitians and overconfident gym bros on social media.
NEJM@NEJM

Vitamin D testing is frequently overused across U.S. health systems, with much of it occurring outside the bounds of evidence-based clinical indications. Despite clear guidance from the Endocrine Society and the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, routine screening in low-risk populations remains common and costly. Within Oregon, vitamin D testing has been identified as one of the top 15 low-value services, representing a substantial opportunity for cost savings and practice alignment. In an effort to reduce the volume of low-value vitamin D testing across a three-hospital academic health system, a multidisciplinary working group designed and implemented an electronic health record best practice advisory to fire at the point of order entry when a vitamin D test was attempted without an approved indication. The initiative involved implementing a targeted clinical decision support intervention, aligned with evidence-based diagnostic coding curated using the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services coverage criteria and reinforced by coordinated communication and measurement infrastructure. The proportion of indicated vitamin D tests increased from 45% in the final month pre intervention to more than 88% at 90 days post intervention, and remained above 90% at 1 year post go-live. Improvements were consistent across payer types, age groups, and locations of care, with the largest gains seen in outpatient and Medicaid populations. In absolute terms, the number of vitamin D tests decreased by 25.3% when comparing the 12 months pre intervention with the 12 months post intervention. Along with this decrease was an estimated cost savings of nearly US$112,000. Read the Case Study “Curbing Unnecessary Vitamin D Testing” by R. so the argument is that if dems get back in power, they will use it against the Republicans. But im sure Trump is aware of that. He still believes its right. Well, the future is not here yet. but today is, and today we have a very very bad problem with govt shutdown. So we need to do things NOW to benefit NOW, not the future. If we thought like that, nothing would ever get done, always worrying about the future.

You are a clown 🤡 That study shows that cancer cells use taurine, not that taurine creates cancer. Cancer cells also heavily use glucose, but that doesn’t mean we should stop eating carbohydrates. Cancer cells are metabolic hijackers. They steal and overconsume many nutrients that healthy cells need. The broader research on taurine actually shows protective effects against cancer in normal cells via its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Sit this one out.
Jessica Rose 🤙@JesslovesMJK

Red Bull contains approximately 1 gram of taurine per 8.4 fl oz can. Taurine drives glycolysis to promote leukaemogenesis. @SecKennedy @NIHDirector_Jay And we wonder why we have a cancer crisis. Large numbers of products promoted as 'safe to drink, eat, inject' appear to be directly carcinogenic. And you know what? Because of the racket of profiteering, the MICs (morons in charge) likely have no idea that they're even selling poison. Ignorance is not bliss because it lives in the realm of the truth. nature.com/articles/s4158…

I can think of exactly one big win for “public health” in the last 50-60 years: Less cigarette smoking. It’s difficult to find anything else to celebrate… Because population level mental and physical health has been heading in the wrong direction for several decades.

Reminder. All traditional patterns have collapsed. You are free to do anything and organize your life as you want. There is no pressure from any group or society or institution. The modernity project is complete. You are liberated. Many people cannot handle this truth so they make up fake statements about things "pressuring" them. It doesn't exist.

Placebos are more effective than drugs for depression. Before you stop me and say "false, drugs outperform placebos," you are correct, they do. But placebos are 40% effective and drugs 54% effective, which means that 74% of the drug's effect is explained by the placebo effect.
