Four illegal aliens are facing federal charges after a maritime interdiction off the coast of Miami-Dade disrupted an illegal smuggling operation. Law enforcement stopped a vessel attempting to bring undocumented migrants into the U.S., with four individuals taken into custody and now facing prosecution. Those involved could face significant prison time, reinforcing that human smuggling ventures at sea will be detected, disrupted, and punished.

#SAR A @USCG deployed AIRSTA Corpus Christi HC-144 aircrew helped JRCC #DomRep @IDAC_RD in assisting 8 fishermen taking on water appx. 30 mi N Haiti. The aircrew deployed a dewatering pump & life jacket before a good Sam vessel in the area rescued the ppl. No injuries reported.
