Their presence reflects the United States unwavering commitment to Haiti’s security, stability, and brighter future.  The U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard reaffirm their partnership and support to ensure a safer and more prosperous Haiti.

In a first of its kind, Air and Marine Operations has handed off a legacy 39-foot Midnight Express to the USCG to help combat and interdict small personal watercrafts off the coast of California.  This whole of government approach provides DHS and the USCG with an immediate response to emerging threats utilizing already purchased and proven assets. This is true testament of #BorderSecurity and teamwork!

Florida waterways are not a safe haven. Illegal labor and maritime smuggling will be detected, and the laws will be enforced. Joint maritime operations with Air and Marine Operations, Office of Field Operations, and St Johns County Sheriff's Office resulted in multiple illegal aliens arrested off several vessels last week.

INTERECPTED AT SEA! Late on Jan. 13, Marine Interdiction Agents from the Fajardo Marine Unit intercepted a sailing vessel carrying 12 undocumented migrants from Uzbekistan and Russia near Vieques Island, Puerto Rico.    Alerted by the U.S. Coast Guard, CBP Air and Marine Operations tracked the suspicious vessel as it altered course toward Vieques Island. At 8:30 p.m., two Coastal Interceptor Vessels stopped the boat less than one nautical mile from shore. Eight adults and four minors—all lacking legal documentation—were apprehended.    The migrants and vessel were transported to the Fajardo Marine Unit for identification and processing. The investigation is ongoing. #BorderSecurity

On November 25, a Key Largo Marine Unit conducted a vessel document check near Rodriguez Key, Key Largo, Florida. During the operation, agents discovered an adult Venezuelan male illegally present in the United States after deportation. The individual was taken into custody and turned over to U.S. Border Patrol for processing at the Marathon Station. Additionally, agents observed narcotics and paraphernalia in plain view. Monroe County Sheriff’s Office seized the items for further investigation. This operation highlights the ongoing commitment of DHS and its partners to secure our borders and enforce U.S. laws. #BorderSecurity

Last week, a Miami Air and Marine Branch Black Hawk crew and Marine Interdiction Agents from the Key Largo Marine Unit joined forces with U.S. Border Patrol in a targeted enforcement operation in Key Largo, FL. With support from the Florida Highway Patrol, 12 illegal aliens from Nicaragua, Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, and Guatemala were arrested during the operation. Records checks revealed prior charges and convictions among the individuals, including re-entry after deportation, DUI, obstruction, illegal concealed carry of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance with a weapon, resisting an officer with violence, battery, strangulation, domestic violence, and other offenses. All subjects were transported to the USBP Marathon Station for processing. This operation highlights the critical teamwork and dedication of federal and state law enforcement agencies in safeguarding our communities. #BorderSecurity #Teamwork

🚨 Smuggling Vessel Intercepted Off Juno Beach! 12 Illegal Aliens Caught in Midnight Operation 🚨 On Sunday, Nov. 16, at approximately 8 p.m. EST, AMO West Palm Beach and Fort Pierce Marine Units received notification from local reconnaissance and surveillance assets regarding a 25-foot cabin cruiser that had departed Freeport, Bahamas, with suspected migrants onboard. AMO crews, alongside the U.S. Coast Guard and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, launched a joint intercept operation. Miami Air and Marine Branch deployed an AMO aircraft, which successfully located and tracked the vessel as it traveled westbound without navigation lights. At a.m. EST on Monday, Nov. 17, AMO Marine Interdiction Agents aboard Coastal Interceptor Vessels successfully interdicted the target vessel approximately 11 nautical miles east of Juno Beach. The vessel stopped without incident. Upon inspection, agents encountered 12 individuals onboard: ❎2 Bahamian nationals ❎3 Chinese nationals ❎6 Haitian nationals ❎1 Brazilian national. All 12 individuals were safely transferred to the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Robert Yered for further identification and processing.
