Yep, that’s fair. I saw that Eric Balchunas quote last week about Bitcoin being the “hotsauce” for boomers at 1-2% of their portfolio and loved it lol. I’m a big fan of indexes in general, especially as an onboarding mechanism. Crypto badly needs products for people who don’t have the time or will to live in the trenches 24/7. Just followed Prism, excited to see what you guys are cooking and will follow along.

I think that's a genuine consideration, ultimately I would say this concept wins if firstly they do actually slow down rotations and narrative hopping eventually and also jumping between new projects within the same sector/narrative, that would be healthy for the space in general. But realistically I agree a level of curation is going to be important, given the nascence of many new projects there will absolutely be cases where one index token becomes less directionally relevent than another new index token, but that's not a bug it's a feature realistically, because the index firstly isn't reliant on a mcap of its own token, its the value of all assets in the index, but secondary if a new index pops up that is structured more efficiently, swapping between an index is seamless, just hop between them. I also think it'll encourage well rounded / well weighted index creation, where a bit like how Eric Balchunis from Bloomberg mentions Bitcoin is the 'Hotsauce' for boomers at 1-2% of their portfolio, we can start to have indexes where you have the heavy weights, like Venice on Base, at say 70% of weighting, with a few higher risk assets at 1-2% that help to juice overall gains. Hope that makes sense.

The Spectrum Thesis: Why promote multiple tokens when you can promote a single index made up of all your bags? Any $ flows into the index flows into the underlying assets at the weight you choose to add them to the index and you earn fees from swaps into the index. Bullish on AI Base Szn? There's an Index for that. DeFi your vibe? There's an index for that. Care about your fave trader's allocations? Index for that. Fees flow to holders, the creator and Prism.

This is great and all but, having watched hundreds of teams building and shipping apps hoping to make it onto Base app it shows, once again, that Base only support their own. If you're not part of that inner circle you may as well jump off a cliff. You'll never make it.

it's been very cool watching @MLeeJr launch @lienfiapp and run a very effective GTM to get it off the ground as an early stage product i've known him through base ecosystem for a while. he's always been a hustler and a strong positive voice and for most of the last year he's been mostly focused on memes (did you know grok has money?) watching him take the learnings from that community+belief building work and apply it to a product has been awesome to see. may we have many more people who start in the trenches and grow into building products that change the world (and vice versa).
