Limiting stops is a very bad option. @MtcChennai the main reason for delay is stopping everywhere and seeing if anyone’s boarding. In order to tackle this, just stopping the onboard booking is enough. Only prebooked passengers must be allowed to travel. Bus shouldn’t stop & wait for anyone’s boarding new. Stoppages must not be limited to a few. Let prebooking happen at all stops & make the bus stop only where there’s a booking for anyone to board/deboard and don’t stop anywhere else. The stoppages must be dynamic. Limiting the stoppages altogether makes it impossible for many to travel.

@CityOrdinary This is not viable for crowded buses and will lead to very slow ticket issuing especially on ORR and force buses to stop due to stage closure. NCMC is only viable for buses and not QR. Or a Tummoc like app.

Surprised to see people think this is regressive. IMO, this is the most logical progression. In the current system, conductors are at loss if they issue a ticket and UPI fails. And UPI does fail. Especially in crowded areas and when buses go under metro stations or flyovers.

I don’t get how BNCAP has time for this but not one simple press release explaining the result which would go a long way in improving transparency. After GNCAP’s dramatic press releases, this feels so lifeless I get more excited when my refrigerator gets 5 stars from the BEE

For the first time, Pune Regional Transport Office is preparing to introduce a three-letter vehicle registration format as the existing MH-12 two-letter series is close to exhaustion. Officials said the city has already reached the ‘ZG’ sequence, and with only a few combinations left before ‘ZZ’, the new system may be rolled out in the next three to four months. Once implemented, newly registered vehicles will carry number plates with three English letters such as ‘MH-12 AAA 0001’. The change comes as Pune’s total registered vehicles have crossed 43 lakh, reflecting rapid urban growth and rising vehicle purchases. We will remain an average car market, with a mindset stuck on fuel efficiency and buying what’s common just for FOMO. Duster deserves massive, massive success. As a package they are offering too much with this engine.
