The U.S. Senate confirmed U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s judge nominee for the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Louisiana, Anna St. John, voting 51-45. St. John previously served as the president and general counsel of the Hamilton Lincoln Law Institute.

Chances that normal shipping traffic returns to the Strait of Hormuz by the end of April has plummeted in the last 48 hours, down over 30% currently sitting at around 44%, following a number of strikes by Iran on cargo vessels and oil tankers near the Strait, as well as an attack overnight on two tankers off the coast of Iraq.

A different kind of episode…one of my best friends landed in Tel Aviv less than 24 hours before the rockets started falling. Here’s the story of how he escaped….and what snacks are like on emergency DHS evacuation flights. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the…

I was on one of those flights today and I can tell you the professionalism shown by the team executing our evacuation. They were meticulous, kind, and respectful. And more importantly, they got us out secretly and safely. Every single person from the Embassy staff, to the consular DOS task force, to the security detail. Thank you @SecRubio @realDonaldTrump @ASDylanJohnson

The U.S. Department of State charter flights have brought hundreds of Americans home and we are continuing to surge aviation and ground transport options for any American wishing to depart the Middle East. Grateful to our partners at @CBP for supporting @StateDept operations.

Yes, the State Department is actively securing military aircraft and charter flights for American citizens who wish to leave the Middle East. We've been in direct contact with nearly 3,000 Americans abroad. American citizens should call 1-202-501-4444 for assistance with departure options.

Good copy. Can we also address whether any mil-air or chartered flights out of the region are anticipated? Fellow citizens have questions and concerns.

my idea was a coffee shop and also with a) newspapers from around the world and b) a bin you have to put your cell phone or tablet in at the front before you can enter, but yes. if you see me open something like this you'll know i've won the lottery.

Idea: a bar called The Situation Room. Like a sports bar but for politics. Cable news and live feeds on the screens instead of football. Atlases and copies of Jane’s Defence Weekly on every table. Multiple sets of Risk and Diplomacy behind the bar.

Suspect "AI means fewer software jobs" is totally backwards. Most companies in the S&P500 would love to build their own software but have no suitable internal talent. There'll definitely be cross-company migration, but we may be still supply-constrained in software engineering.

Our newly launched @joinkudos AI agent called T-Mobile and cut my bill by $840/year (54%). It handled the hold music, the bots, and the negotiation. Companies have call center AI agents. Now consumers have theirs too. Here’s the clip of the call.

Hey @bcherny, I'm super excited about Claude Cowork and I love to have multi-user collab to work on projects with my wife or team at work. Any plans to add shared access soon? Would be a game-changer!

I like how thorough the codex model is. That it will root cause something and actually fix it. That it will in fact build it right the first time. I would love some of the fun and flashy features that Claude Code has, however. For instance, it would be nice to have the OpenAI browser integrated into codex for testing.
