@JSS779 Thanks. I used to use Seatguru but that’s dead now. Just checked and looks like the premium yearly is what I need.

Info | For Nov and Dec, Vueling will operate Barcelona-Manchester at 11 weekly with 3 flights on Fridays, the first time Vueling have operated more than 2 flights in one day for some time. Thanks to @jets2411 for the heads up.

@SPD_travels Flew MAN–DUB–ORD earlier this month. Couldn’t have been more than a 50% load factor. The pre-clearance in Dublin is a huge win though; makes the extra stop totally worthwhile. Sure, nonstop would be ideal, but this isn’t a bad compromise at all 😛🙃

Yet Aer Lingus would have people believe Manchester was the problem. They cut a base with proven profits and decent loads but kept routes like Denver with similarly low loads and, well, this…..
Kyle Potter@kpottermn

My co-worker (@thomaskyle22) flew to Dublin on the Aer Lingus nonstop from Minneapolis this Sunday. He was one of just 40 passengers onboard. Not in business class - the entire plane. That's a 21% load factor. A full row - and then some - for everyone in economy. Yeesh.

Travelling isn't just about the places we visit; it's about the memories we create and the stories we share. Let your spirit roam free and discover the world with open arms.

@SPD_travels Male is interesting. Guessing they could be a holiday/tour operator or summer charter similar to the flight to Goa

So as said, I wanted to be realistic with those lists. Yes routes like Tokyo or Seoul would be great, but realistically they are still a way off. I’d like to think the routes I’ve listed have a solid reasoning for being served in the short/medium term. Let me know what you think.

Info | One to watch but it appears Iberia Express ‘could’ be ending Manchester flights. Currently drops to 3 weekly in March, then no flights bookable beyond Sept, whereas other routes are bookable. Obviously will be subject to change/confirmation but a shame if true.

Info | Swiss once again increase their Zurich-Manchester flights. They now increase from 16 to 19 weekly from 27th Oct, with 3 daily every day bar Tue/Wed. Also, A320/321 used on all flights instead of smaller E190-E2/A220-100.

Ive had a few DMs already and Im being serious, I cant tell anyone who these airlines are. Im not betraying the trust of my sources other than this tease, otherwise I’d have no news to give you. Take this post as it is: it’s a heads up, good things are (hopefully) coming
SPD travels 🚄✈️🌉@SPD_travels

I dont often do teaser posts, but I’ll make an exception in the fact im hearing several very interesting airlines could be coming to Manchester in the next 12-18 months And unfortunately no, I cant tell you who they are, even if you try and find out by DM.

@SPD_travels If my memory serves me right, they had a rouge service to Manchester. Was that pre-Covid?

@SPD_travels True that. I guess everyone is jealous of its success. I use MAN airport almost every month and I love it to bits. The team does an amazing job. Probably because I use it so much and then use other airports and end up feeling annoyed with all the inconveniences.

@bchora Depends how blinkered one is to be honest. Some truly shocking airports across Europe but seems like it’s ‘trendy’ to hate on MAN 🤷

And right on cue, which have voted Manchester airport the worst in the country, again. I don’t care who ‘comes at me’ for this, but there’s absolutely no way T2 is the 4th worst terminal in the country, especially with issues other airports have had. Flawed nonsense.
SPD travels 🚄✈️🌉@SPD_travels

Just one month away until ‘which’ votes Manchester airport the worst airport in the country again with their incredibly flawed survey that seems to get lapped up by the press. How will you be celebrating the day, it’s like Christmas for other airports 😂

@manairport - I would like to extend my gratitude to Susan who helped my wife with her bags at T3 this evening. She couldn’t have carried all her bags from baggage claim to the exit and Susan was very kind and volunteered to help carry a couple of them. Legend!

@ao your 4 digit login code arrives over 5 min after the request. By that point the code has expired. Not sure you have thought through the design and tested it properly. At this rate I can’t login anymore and may go elsewhere to shop.

@skytv you should stop using @RoyalMail for sending your viewing cards as normal post. Some locations like ours are not getting post delivered for over a fortnight. In such cases how can you achieve a 1-2 day delivery target?
