@nytimes I’m shocked by the level of bias in this article. Small wonder they turned off the comments. The NYT talks big about protecting democracy, but it’s this kind of reporting, covering up police corruption, that kills democracy by a thousand papercuts. You should be ashamed.

@vrbo For the record, nothing ever came of this. This urgent issue ended up in apparent digital limbo. No telling how many guests continue to be exposed to bedbugs.

@vrbo Bit by bedbugs at rental and have photo evidence of bed infestation; host denied it, my review didn't get posted, and Vrbo has been unresponsive to this urgent issue. New guests continue to stay on that property at risk; simply zero regard for consumer protection. Criminal.

@ChaseSupport For the record, Chase Support upheld their original decision and my report on their neglectful policy still stands. Don't be fooled by their PR efforts.

@Chase It's shameful that Chase provided no chargeback support for a Vrbo that resulted in bedbug exposure and contamination. We discovered the bedbugs during checkout, but Chase apparently considers the service "fully rendered". Ridiculous dodge for a credit card costing $550.

@vrbo Thank you, I'll DM. For the record, the feedback I have received so far is that Vrbo leaves it entirely up to the host's discretion (again, the host denied any sign of bedbugs, which is a lie) and does not offer any support for refunds, despite photo evidence of bedbug activity.
