Recently @Ronoel & I teamed up for the @btcplusplus hackathon We started off building a bridge between several Bitcoin L2s but that felt a little too on-the-nose for the "exploits" theme So we pivoted to Trustmore: a special type of UTXO that forces depositing into a L2

My first real exposure to TEEs was @acinq_co's post about securing their Lightning node with secure enclaves. That's when I started taking them seriously, more than a cute party trick. As Fabrice points out in his @btcplusplus presentation, the technology has matured and is now industry best practice. For us, it's the minimum guarantee we owe our users. For us @arkade_os, confidential computing via TEEs is complementary infrastructure hardening. It improves trust assumptions but doesn't eliminate them. TEEs aren't bulletproof, but the alternative is managing critical financial infrastructure on a bare server.
