I know a 16 year old girl. She’s tall, she could easily pass for being 25-30 in the right outfit. And she’s A KID. She cries because she has to lay the table for dinner. She screams at her dad for not letting her buy more make up. She gets unbelievably upset about what Chloe said in Spanish. She storms off when her sibling gets a bubble tea and she doesn’t. I cannot IMAGINE dating a teenager. It’s just so, so gross. However old she “looks”, that’s a kid.

@kibawooo The neat thing is most parents DO try. The screaming is annoying to you, it’s damaging for me. That’s my offspring, I’m hardwired to call to those screams of distress. My cortisol levels haven’t recovered since 2018.

Parents, would you please teach your kids not to let out blood curdling screams multiple times unless they're getting kidnapped or having an emergency? I was about to come outside blasting

@latterdaylaura I politely disagree. I don’t want my 3 sons growing up thinking a woman’s place is to endlessly serve, and that mothers aren’t humans with wants and needs. We believe in an old school principle of “respecting adults”

My super strong parenting opinion is that while the kids are awake, you come last. No spending all of Saturday golfing. That’s family time. 6 am tee time only, maybe. Wanna go to the gym? Go after the kids go to bed, or wake up at 5. In a few short years, they’ll be out of the house and you’ll have all the time in the world for your own stuff. It’s okay to come last for a while.

I hardly watch reality shows because I find everyone on them insufferable. But the rare times I do put one on, it becomes virtually unwatchable within the first 30 minutes based on how often EVERYONE SAYS THE WORD "LIKE." Genuinely the most annoying shit ever is listening to a person limp through a sentence where every second word is "like" because they fundamentally lack the ability to speak coherently. SEND HELP.

But what kind of ID, Katie dearest - many of us have the "Real Id" stamped on our driver's license - and yet we are supposed to get a passport if our license does not match our birth certificate and our current status if we divorced or got remarried - This will disenfranchise 21 million people. That is the real goal. Many will be elderly or hourly workers who cannot afford $250 in photos and fees for a passport.

If every American voter, without a passport, decided to get a passport, as their primary form of ID, it would take 5 years to fill the requests. But Republicans want this to be in effect before the midterms. They know this, of course, so it’s obvious voter suppression.

My husband decided to get a secret DNA test to see if our youngest daughter was actually his.
