Opinions please. What role does a design system play … and not play, when it comes to delivering on design quality … and for bonus points, do you think the consumers of your design system agree?

@AtiKuSDesign a11y designers = any designer who is doing their job right. I do not see it as a specialist role. There may well be someone who helps design teams learn and embed accessible/inclusive practices into their work, but that is more of an enablement/training type person

So, that’s a first and I’m curious to hear from others. I’ve just heard from someone that they won’t be supporting our Design Research conference this year because it has too many women speakers (28), and not enough men (6).
