Part of the post-Mohamed Salah (33) plan includes the option of a 4-2-2-2 system, with Alexander Isak (26) and Hugo Ekitike (23) up front, supported by Florian Wirtz (23) and Dominik Szoboszlai (25). One of the club’s priorities is to get Isak, Ekitike, and Wirtz regularly playing together.

@MoChatra Don't they'd get it now. Last summer he just had his best season. Now he's a year older and having his worst season. The thoughts would be that they'd be signing a shadow of the player and can invest elsewhere.

There must have been some within Liverpool's hierarchy and/or ownership desperate to see him leave this summer, because why else would they sacrifice £30m-£50m in a transfer fee? 'Respect for the player' does not seem a plausible explanation. Salah was right.
