@SteffenJack84 Yes for sure. The vibe/idea is the starting point and then you build from there.

@generatemagic For myself, it's never one idea or vibe etc that makes a novel, but instead many combining to create a whole.

I honestly don't know how else they would get written. Everything has to start somewhere. You take the seed and keep building. On the other hand, the "really profound, earth-shattering" ideas typically fall flat.

This one is another that entertained me but others may find offensive.

I’ve always felt a bit out of sorts in social situations. Like suddenly I forget what to do with my hands. Maybe that's why I find the “fish out of water” trope so relatable. Because basically I always feel that way.

I originally just posted the first four panels on this one and @bkgibsonwrites gave me the punchline for the last two. One of the funnier ones I made.

Okay so I’m not a very assertive person. I tend to let people walk all over me. One thing I appreciate about my self publishing journey is that I have grown more confident with confrontation and hard conversations. I’m so proud of myself. 😂

I've been struggling w/writing my second novel, a multi-decade adult novel. So overwhelmed by the magnitude of it. Then a dear friend @JamesAlbright63 reminded me why I write. Because of the process of trying to put something we care about out in the world. So I'll write! :)

@mickeyblackpens I love this! And I can totally relate. I can live with letting someone have the final say in how the coffee is brewed, but no one will tell me how to write my book!

@byMorganWright Also it's one of my fears that something might happen to me and not only will my book remain incomplete, but somebody will discover the chapters still in draft mode. I'm even thinking of labeling them...

I mean… this is not entirely inaccurate💀🤣 No one will ever see a first draft (and for good reason😳🤣).

@KMCarlsonAuthor I feel you. Sometimes I laugh out loud at something I've written, but it would take a million years to explain the full context and it still probably wouldn't make sense.

I need more writer friends. Normies never understand when I get really excited about some banter joke I made in my own brainspace... Where are you all?
