@drdoot My belief is specialised brands do better than an everything brand. Why? Because an everything brand needs to excel in the service delivery of everything they offer. Too many offerings will always have too many screw ups and will reflect on the brand.

Airlines that are switching from 'frequent flyer programs', to 'lifestyle programs' have some kind of weird woke mind virus thing going on. I am yet to see 1 profitable airline lifestyle loyalty business. Yet, there are plenty of billion-dollar 'FFP' loyalty businesses. Lifestyle meaning - a stronger focus on everyday earn/burn more so than flight-related stuff. I see this stuff everywhere in Asia. It's insane to me how fast these airlines erode value in their loyalty businesses by going all-in on lifestyle while neglecting their most valuable and most profitable customers who contribute (collectively) 10, 20,30% of revenue to their airline. Instead, these airline lifestyle programs go chasing the 20-year old once-a-year-flyer who instead might be interested in burning their entire 200 points from their once a year flight on a pumpkin spiced latte at starbucks. Total insanity.

@_warrenhogan Underlying inflation is starting to fall.

I have revised my forecast for the RBA cash rate. I now expect a peak in late 2023 of 4.35% from 4.5% previously. I have completely given up on the RBA getting the rate back on 25bp increments, at least until the next easing cycle, where I am forecasting the first cut to be 35bp.
