@florianederer It’s always been like this for the most part (early buyers get the worst seats). It does suck that the whole lower level is cat 1 when the end zones used to be cat 3

I see people actually bashing Augusta National for busting scalpers. Are we serious? For years the masses have bashed scalpers. Now someone is doing something about it. The resale market for The Masters is basically OVER. You will either get tickets through the lottery or corporate buys, or you will not attend. I applaud them overall. F people who just want to be middle men profiting off peoples dreams. Scalpers just increase costs massively. On the other hand, it does suck that there is no option now. For 99%, it’s either win the lottery or never attend. I don’t have another answer better than this. So if we hate scalpers, then this has to be the way.

Augusta National can take your Masters badges back anytime and they DO NOT have to give a reason. It is considered a privilege to have a badge/ticket. They have cracked down big time on secondary sales.

@Microinteracti1 That has almost nothing to do with it. FIFAs predatory pricing is the reason. If the tickets were marked up a reasonable 25% ago from Qatar, everything would have been sold out a long time ago.

The United States is so toxic on the world stage right now that it can’t fill hotels or sell World Cup tickets. Let that land. FIFA projected $30.5 billion in economic impact from millions of international visitors. That demand never showed up. Hotels in Atlanta, Dallas, Miami, Philadelphia and San Francisco have slashed match-day rates by a third from their peak. FIFA has cancelled tens of thousands of reserved rooms across all 16 host cities. Some hotels report cancellation rates above 95%. The reasons aren’t hard to find. Anti-American sentiment. Fear of border crossings. The Iran war driving up oil prices and airfares. And tickets priced into the stratosphere, with finals seats hitting $10,990 a pop. Industry executives are now openly blaming the Trump administration for the shortfall. Tourism economists say the Iran war made an already bad sentiment problem worse. Empty stadiums are now a real possibility. It happened at the Club World Cup last summer. It could happen again, on American soil, at the biggest sporting event on the planet. The White House says this will be “the greatest World Cup ever.” The market disagrees. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

@ScottFriedman3 @USASoccer @FIFAWorldCup The important thing is that @FOXSoccer will tell the US audience from day 1 that’s it’s the greatest World Cup ever, and if there’s seats empty FIFA will make sure they aren’t on camera. Everyone involved deserves each other

@aronpricepga @TheMasters Oh, they have their ways. They absolutely will go on eBay and buy back merch to find out who is selling and then blacklist them from attending forever.

I wish @TheMasters would track some of these people that rush in a buy products from the merchandise hall… then run straight out and list them on eBay. Buying products for $60 and then putting them straight on eBay for $600.

🌺 MASTERS WEEK IS HERE 🌺 Giving this wedge to whoever guesses the winner and their score to par in the comments. If you like it, guess the winner and score and it's yours. If you hate it, guess the winner and score and I'll ship it to someone you hate. Win-win. Good luck!
