@Venu_7_ @ShakePryzby1 Hi Venu, is the base high not at $87 for $CLS instead? Curious why you see it at $60 instead of the peak!

Amazing, Shake. I’ll throw a couple more examples of IPO resistance / dot-com highs: $CLS 60 $GLW 110 $AMKR and $UMC are approaching those levels now. Back then, it was hype with no real numbers. Today, it’s driven by real AI demand and big tech capex. That’s why I’ve been saying since the start of the year - money can still be made in semis. There are 100+ sub-themes within it. Analog is still an underappreciated theme. Grid infrastructure is next. The list goes on. Let’s kill this one.

@Venu_7_ put me onto this $UMC had never heard of it before today. Semi out of taiwan. Just an insane chart. Daily shows an earnings gap into new highs followed by an inside day today. I love buying setups through earnings day highs - especially when they are taking out a macro resistance level. You head to the weekly chart and see one of the sickest IPO bases around. I hate trading these foreign names because of the gaps, but god damn might have to put some risk on here with the potential -- taking out a 26 YEAR resistance level 😱 I remember when they said those long term resistance levels didn't matter like $MU taking out the 25 year high at $98 last year (closed $500 today) and $INTC taking out $76 recently (quickly at $94 today).

Absolute monster breakout here in $TSEM. Powerful reclaim of the trendline and MAs.

In hindsight, the RoboTurd ETF, though thematically in line, lacked the real evidence needed to get bullish and rapidly allocate capital to it: strong chart symmetry. Why does that matter? Because if the shape of four or more charts is nearly identical—the ups, the downs, the sell-offs, the pops, the moving averages, etc.—all of the microstructures that make up a chart are nearly identical. That means a single accumulator is shaping the chart and buying them all as a bucket. When the charts are disconnected and don’t have the same shape, that means smaller players are typically shaping them. Therefore, they lack chart theme and likely any real substantive theme at all.

Funny story about the origin of chart theme for me. As many of you know, aside from Qullamaggie and a very, very select few other readings or people I’ve learned from, the vast majority of my knowledge has come from systematically studying charts day in and day out for tens of thousands of hours. The first big theme I really butchered was Quantum’s front side. I didn’t miss it completely. I actually got long QUBT on 11-04 and 11-05-24 after that offering, but had well over a million shares and shook myself out during the violent candle the following day. I didn’t realize chart theme at the time. I didn’t have the slightest understanding of it. I didn’t understand that RGTI, QVTS, IO, and Q all had basically the same chart emerging from the same pattern on the same theme. After it was all said and done, I basically came to the conclusion that I completely missed Quantum. It should have been a 500%+ move on a 10–20% portfolio allocation.

@801010athlete Hi PBA, how can one apply this to his life when still on the journey to big money in trading? I feel like the relaxation comes from the lack of worry about financial problems, just curious!

I absolutely loved every moment in the Van and didn’t long for my house. Now, I absolutely love being back in my house and am not remotely thinking about Van Life. Being grateful and at peace where you are is key, I’m so lucky either way. I don’t think about anything in the future anymore, and I don’t long the past. I’m exactly where I should be all the time.

@kyletrades_ @ShakePryzby1 What do you mean some sectors have more EV over others? What did you use to calculate that?

Years ago I looked at all of the gaps in my database and broke down EV by sector. This exercise was one of many I used to stack layers of probability as @ShakePryzby1 would say, and how I honed in enough to trade only a few dozen times per year. Healthcare, Tech, and Consumer Cyclical produce more EV than every other sector combined. Not slightly more. Significantly more. Meanwhile sectors like Energy, Financial Services, and Real Estate are generating so little EV that even trading them at all is questionable. Most of these sectors combined don't produce as much as Healthcare alone. The more layers of probability you have, the higher EV is - why not put your focus on the best of the best, disregard the sub-par opportunities, and keep stacking those higher EV opportunities? You can eliminate a lot of churn, drawdown, and frustration, and your equity curve will thank you.

Couldn’t agree more. Wild amount of panic for 10-20% pullbacks in stocks that went up 50-100% in a short space of time. Volatility cuts both ways. Can’t be happy they went up so fast and then be pissed they can pull back even harder as well. Zoom out. Pullback and consolidation from strong moves is healthy. Shakes off excess and builds energy for a potential next leg up if major trend remains strong.
Ariel Hernandez@RealSimpleAriel

Scrolling through X today and my feed is a bit depressing. We just had a historic move up and on the first gap down everyone is now bearish? 🤣🤦‍♂️Going down is healthy!

@TechCharts What are your thoughts on such stocks when copper and gold are both going down? Does it change the thesis or how much conviction you have going in to the trade?

$NCX each daily research by going through 1000s of charts allows me to stumble upon new good looking setups. Yes, an AI that spits out those setups would be great, but I also enjoy the review process which probably gives a better feel for the overall market condition.
