@Combat_learjet @GerardButler How tough was it to balance your airline schedule with filming?

Let of questions on my last post with @GerardButler Back in 2020 I was hired to work on the set of “Plane” as a "Pilot/aviation" consultant. The filmed was shot in Puerto Rico over a 7-8 week span. The aircraft used for the cockpit footage was an old Airbus 319/320 put on hydraulic stilts to give it realistic motion. Lots of questions on why an airbus has a yoke. The production team wanted a yoke to give the audience a better visual representation on Gerard controlling the aircraft, a side stick doesn’t work well for that. A side note, this is the same cockpit used in “Sulley”. I quickly learned I had limited input into a lot of aviation stuff on set, several things were baked into the script and couldn’t be changed when I arrived. It was a great experience and I was honored to get a chance to see how a film is made. Happy to answer any questions you have.

My team and I are currently monitoring the wildfires in Putnam County and are in touch right now with county officials to discuss how we can best assist them at the federal level. Everyone in Putnam County should listen to the advice given from local and state authorities. We will continue to provide updates as soon as we get them.

We live in a smallllllll town in the middle of KS. Our last three Ubers were three different nationalities, couldn’t speak (or understand) English, and could barely drive. People across this country voted for mass deportation and it doesn’t feel like we are getting it.

@TMZ As an airline pilot I see these often. Low orbit satellites that are reflecting sun rays which makes them appear really bright. There are thousands of satellites and have different orbital paths so that’s why they appear like they’re dancing around and going different directions.
