I like this piece by @jack. Look at it philosophically, artistically, at what it does to the human. The beauty of this application by Jack Dorsey lies in this: that this cold calculation, this capitalism as a beast that must be served by everyone, to which the human being as it were grants her own beastliness and by which she becomes enslaved, is also something one can contribute to by organizing the division between the place where we are slaves and serve that beast and give it everything it needs to be as efficient and large and effective and cruel and cold as possible, and the place where, outside of it, on the edge, we can be free. And which of those two worlds is the illusion? As long as we can continue to make it plausible that life truly takes place on the edge, we succeed in maintaining that separation. Otherwise that separation is an illusion. Otherwise we are indeed nothing but that edge. Nothing more than a protrusion, an awkward appendage of the intelligence that takes over from us. And then that does not matter so much in an ontological sense, but rather in how we, how the culture that exists there on the edge, carries pessimism or optimism within it.
