@Adamnogender @ChaunceyGardner @grove_mitchell Do you even read what you type? Twice you have called me “hooked”. When I had a business I switched over 2000 people from cigs, my thoughts were to get them off cigs however. I always told them the path that worked for them was the best path, not my path. Btw. I like nicotine.

New Study: Nicotine vapes are not as dependence-forming as cigarettes. Who knew? The authors are VERY good scientists, but continue to use the 1990s-era stigmatizing term "addictive." "Addiction among vapers appears to be lower than that observed among smokers." journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/14…

Ive got plenty of experience. I smoked for 15 years and tried many ways to stop including NRT. I then visited a psychologist specialising in smoking cessation and she got me off it quickly and without missing out on it at all. She then showed me the basics and I did if myself for ten years. Maybe someone like myself knows more about it than someone like you who is still hooked?

@KulikovUNIATF @ParentsvsVape Bullshit alert!! The only way this study could be 'conclusive' is if the subjects cognitive ability were measured over time. As it stands, all it says is e-cig users may have higher cognitive impairment than non-smokers to start with. @cjsnowdon

New study raises concerns about #ecigarettes and brain health 🧠⚠️ A recent study from Thailand looked at 232 young adults aged 18–25 and found that e-cigarette users had a significantly higher risk of #cognitive impairment compared to non-users. Nearly 40% of e-cigarette users showed signs of potential cognitive #decline, vs. less than 1% of non-smokers. Even more striking: those who didn’t plan to quit within a month had 6x higher odds of cognitive issues, and those without plans to quit in 6 months had 4x higher odds. While the study doesn’t prove cause and effect (it’s cross-sectional), it adds to growing evidence that #vaping isn’t “harmless” for the developing brain. nature.com/articles/s4159…

@Adamnogender @ChaunceyGardner @grove_mitchell Ok so a consultancy is not a business. Please educate me on consulting since I as an expert who consults on traffic crash reconstructions and bill clients obviously doesn’t understand the words. Good for you on your options but you aren’t the be all end all for cessation.

@Adamnogender @ChaunceyGardner @grove_mitchell Still presumptuous and bordering on puritanical. Congrats on your quitting but you fail to realize that people,,,,,are all different,,,,I’ll take someone who understands that over someone who is stuck with promoting his own success. We don’t care how, just that you quit cigs.

Draft guidance? Nope. More cigarette protectionism, yup. @FDATobacco your feigned ignorance of the actual science is just totally amazing (retirement jobs not considered). Just admit someone has a hand in your pocket providing direction. fda.gov/media/191455/d…

VG, PG, & Flavorings. Hmmm The very same ingredients in a Nicotine Vape. No nic here. So why is @DrMakaryFDA not authorizing the very SAME in a vape? We know Nicotine is only dependency not addiction when the delivery is from a Vape and not cig. I found this at Walgreens.

Shame on the scientists that submitted this disingenuous non-study Review. Shame on the peer reviewers for passing it. Shame on the Journal for publishing it. Shame on Ch7 for airing it. Shame on Public Health for agreeing with it. This is a new Low. #VAPES DO NOT CAUSE CANCER

Many teens still think vaping is safer than smoking. It’s not. Dr. Holly Keyt, medical director for our lung transplant program has treated teen vapers with severe lung damage & one who needed a lung transplant. 1 in 3 teens now vape daily. She's urging them to quit. #QuitVaping
