Decades ago, the wealthiest man on the planet wasn’t Elon Musk or Bill Gates.
It was a shipping magnate named Aristotle Onassis. In the 1950s and ’60s, Onassis controlled shipping lanes across the globe — you could say he held a monopoly on international logistics.
When asked about the secret to his success, Onassis replied: “The secret to success in business is to know something that nobody else knows.” In other words, develop proprietary intelligence that gives you a competitive advantage.
I shared that same principle during my keynote address speaking at Neumont College of Computer Science Class of 2025 graduation. The education provided at Neumont equips students with proprietary technology and key insights — knowledge and skills that no one else has — to not only advance their careers but also to improve our world.
Here’s to the Class of 2025 — taking their unique knowledge into the world to make it better. @neumontCS @moreeder_
