@mattshumer_ I spent 2 full weeks building an ETF portfolio that should be resistent to this shock as well as profit off of it, without investing in AI directly (because I already have some direct exposure). Great article to validate it.

@TFi2DFiGuy @Route2FI Firstly, I'm a holder. There is a massive risk here, that can't be overlooked, but I tend to agree with the revenue they are producing + buy backs this should trade higher as long as they keep market share + crypto keeps volume.

@notesfromnick @Route2FI Unlocks are real. But so are buybacks. ~100M tokens unlocking vs ~$874M bought back last year = not the same supply story people think.

$HYPE up 35% since yesterday. Quite remarkable for a coin with this size (top 20 on Coingecko).

It has been. He (and we as a family) have been fortunate that he has been able to make quite a few choices to live with this disease on his own terms. Yes. It definitely has impacted my life. Some positively and some negatively. I value life a lot more than most now and it has forced me to grow up quickly. It has been a blessing and a curse all at the same time. I’m probably more risk adverse but also very conscious of setting up a life that can support me if anything happens in a future. I’m happy to chat more if you’ve got any questions or need to chat. I may not be perfect as it’s not me who has it. But I’m living through it everyday have been for roughly 20 years.

Thank you, Nicholas. It sounds like you really know what this is all about. I hope your father‘s life has been blessed in many other ways because he certainly got the short end of the stick with this one. Do you think his illness has impacted your mindset in life? In a positive way?

Sad news to share with you, X friends. I had tremors start in January 2025 in my left hand, with stiffness coming soon after. In March 2025 my first child was born and I had my first MRI. I had three more MRIs last year after the first one. In November, based on symptoms, I got prescribed medicine for Parkinson’s (levodopa) which helped with my tremors (now left arm and left leg), making it highly likely that I had Parkinson’s. I take this medicine 3x a day, every 5 hours, and by that last hour it has definitely worn off. On December 23, I had a nuclear DaTscan and on December 25 I found out the dopamine activity in part of my brain was about 90% below normal. On January 16 (four days ago), I had a follow up with my neurologist, and that was the first time I heard the words, “you have Parkinson’s disease”. Going to do everything I can to prioritize exercise, diet, and sleep, to slow progression. I had always planned on retiring in my 40s, but not like this. Hoping I can work for at least 10 more years because we’re probably going to need more money than I had originally planned. I’m mostly optimistic but also scared about my and my families future. It’s a new and very weird feeling to be totally uncomfortable in my own body, there is a large part of “me”, that doesn’t feel like “me” anymore. Wish me luck, or say a prayer for me, if that’s your jam: I appreciate it.
