After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
May God bless America.

NEW: In response to Hezbollah joining the war last night and attacking Israel, Lebanon’s prime minister is calling its operations illegal and demanding its disarmament. Prime Minister Salam called for “the immediate ban of all Hezbollah security and military activities and considering them illegal,” and directed the group to surrender its arms. It is the first time in history that the Lebanese state has moved against Hezbollah - even if by words only - during a confrontation with Israel.

It is deeply troubling to see a course being offered at Princeton that falsely characterizes Israel’s right to self-defense as ‘genocide.’ Israel was the victim of a brutal terrorist attack on October 7th at the hands of Hamas, and any honest discussion must begin with that fact. Hamas is a terrorist organization that deliberately targets civilians and hides behind innocent people to advance its violent agenda. While I support freedom of speech and the offering of different perspectives in the classroom - words matter.
Recklessly misusing the term ‘genocide’ does nothing to advance peace, justice, understanding, or open dialogue. Israel has both the right and the obligation to defend its people, and that reality should not be erased or rewritten in the classroom.

I took this picture in Silwan in East Jerusalem. This is an archaeological restoration underneath the city. Silwan is literally built on top of some of the most historic events in the history of three major world religions.
I’m sure any reasonable person can understand if you’re living in a place with the actual city of David underneath you, some zoning permits for building are called for. Anything you do could be on top of a priceless archaeological find.
The pro Palestine movement is trying to treat enforcing these zoning restrictions as terrorism. And it’s literally comical if you have been there.
The entire problem with the pro pali movement is they cannot make any point without misleading people.

@realrabbilinda Also, there is no way a guy who wears a kippah needs to read (and struggles while reading) the Hanukkah prayers. It’s ok if you’re Jewish and don’t know the prayers. But to not know the prayers and pretend you’re conservative/orthodox? It’s just extremely odd and… creepy.

@IhabHassane The license plates indicate the different governing bodies (ex: US vs. Canada). If it were citizens within Israel who were being treated differently, w/ different rules applied, that would be a flavor of apartheid. But these plates are from the Palestinian Territories.

Breaking - a Jewish man was stabbed a few hours ago in Crown Heights in what appears to be an unprovoked, antisemitic attack.
The 35-year-old victim, who is visibly Jewish, was walking along Kingston Avenue near Lincoln Place at approximately 5:00 p.m. when he was approached by a man.
According to the victim, the assailant produced a knife, made antisemitic statements, and stabbed him multiple times in the chest.
