@jimmathesonnhl He has established himself as an NHL capable player. But he is waiver exempt and should go back to play bigger minutes in the AHL. He will be the primary replacement option as required from here on out. Nobody was pining for Samanski when Dach and Frederic were playing well.

Have to wonder if Josh Samanski will stick around or go back to Bako when Frederic returns Thursday. Samanski fourth line C tonight

@rcamcole Unfortunately he has other problems besides driving cars. This is just the most outward sign.

Sometimes I wonder where we'd be in the context of golf history if Tiger Woods hadn't been so cheap that he refused to hire a full-time driver for what amounts to loose change. Erase moving vehicles from his CV, and what would the record book be like?

@thackattack41 Goalies are creatures of habit and maybe this is how he warms up when he doesn't start. Do you have any other examplesof his to compare against? I don't disagree that it's not a good look but it may be just his thing.

This is from warmup tonight. Even if you're not starting, at least go out and work hard and have a good warmup. He's barely trying.

@OilersJack Don't disagree. Until recently, I was a daily reader of the website but it changed from objective takes to opinion pieces or whining abt certain players or coaches. Sometimes the podcasts are like that too.

Have been an Oilersnation fans since its literal inception when Wanye and Baggedmilk were tweeting SQUEEEE in all caps the website comments sections was hilarious. But the brand these days seems to just be a ton of podcasts constantly lecturing other Oilers fans. What happened?

@majornelson Grew up in Alberta. We didn't have snow days or else I wouldn't be able to type this. Truly though, they were called Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

@JasonGregor Is it the graphic novel version or all books for these titles? Having read both of these books, the blurring of dystopian realities and reality is frightening indeed.

@JerryTurin @SportsnetSpec It's amazing how hard it is for all the armchair GMs in Oil Country to grasp what you very clearly lay out here. As a GM you go with what you know and take a chance. Not all chances work out. Bowman scored on Roslovic and not Mangiapane. Hopefully these new bets pay off.

@SportsnetSpec Bowman makes the right deal for the right assets at the right time. If those assets fail to live up to their potential it's the fault of those assets and it's incumbent on him to fix that issue rather than be resigned. Signing Mang seemed smart. Mang failed. Bowman responded.

The 2 sides of the Dickinson deal: If you’re holding Bowman to account on signing Mangiapane in the 1st place - very fair - you hate it. If you’ve moved on, and grade it against Roy and Dowd costs - and cap space opened this summer - pretty good deal, IMO.

@Woodguy55 @JasonGregor As someone who raised three kids away from Edmonton and in a different country, I can tell you that you're not wrong. But I suspect with even just the wives and girlfriends grp in Edmonton, he has got a lot of support.

@JasonGregor I dont know what motivates him A family with 3 young kids can certainly benefit from being support by extended family Its something that those of us who have raised our kids around grandparents/aunts/uncles/cousins take for granted but I can see missing that if you don't have it

In regard to Oilers trading Nurse. Important to remember he has a full NMC. His wife gave birth to their third child a few days ago. Agreeing to a trade now would cause significant upheaval to his wife and family. Totally understandable if he isn't interested right now.
