@SW_Help @TypicallyTayDsn Really? I have waited an hour to get on a train this morning at New Malden into Waterloo because of cancelled services and delayed/overcrowded trains. Really, genuinely appalling service

@TypicallyTayDsn Hi Taylor, yes trains are running into Vauxhall today. There are only a couple of cancellations due to stock being displaced following yesterday's disruption. ^LB

@stevieinselby @mrjamesob I'm not saying I can't, but the point is, you earn £99, 999 and you get the entitlement/you earn £100k and you lose it. So you take home £2k less by earning £1 more - and that's what he's getting at

A very helpful explainer of what Hunt was trying to say but couldn’t because he’s not very competent and/or it’s a problem of his own making. With examples in the replies.
Dan Neidle@DanNeidle

As your income hits £100k, you lose £20k of net income, and that doesn’t recover until you earn £154k. Clearly no rational person in this position would earn between £100k-£154k if they had a choice, and that’s a deeply irrational result.

@stevieinselby @mrjamesob Yeah, sorry, that's incorrect. If I earn above £100k, then I'll immediately lose entitlement to £2k pa through the childcare system, which pays for pre/post school clubs and which are essential in order for me to perform my job

Hey, @Zoom, am I missing something, or is it possible to anchor meeting controls at the side of the screen, as you can with the Windows task bar? If I am teaching using Zoom, I find that often, the meeting controls are in the way at the top/bottom of the screen

Feel as though I temporarily stepped into the shoes of @gdavies this week, in role of 'The cleaner'. Having cut my finger on a kitchen knife, I have over the last few days been cleaning blood from the floor, the walls, the oven, cupboard doors, the window, the ceiling #1inchcut

He’s such a patronising wanker. Remember: regardless of anything he says, to him personally, inflation is just something that affects his stocks and bonds.
Good Morning Britain@GMB

.@susannareid100 questions Business and Energy Secretary @Jacob_Rees_Mogg's about the reports that he wants benefits uprated with inflation. She also asks whether or not he would support the government's decision if they decided not to uprate benefits in line with inflation.

“Only war can decide who is boss” he told me then. He is far from any position of power in the Kremlin. But his fascist-tinged thoughts about a great power struggle between the “Eurasian” and “Atlanticist” empires - Russia and the US - has closely mirrored Putin’s own thinking.

Alexander Dugin is not “Putin’s brain.” He’s a man who roughly a decade ago provided a kind of intellectual underpinning for what Putin sees as Russia’s historic mission as geopolitical counterweight to the U.S. I interviewed him 5 years ago. youtu.be/GGunRKWtWBs

We must protect cyclists - but we also have to crack down on dangerous riders too. That's why we will introduce a new death by dangerous cycling law. Read my editorial in the Mail here: mailplus.co.uk/edition/news/n…

@only1redders Hi Chris, like everyone this weekend we’re keeping a close eye on the weather! This morning’s joust ran as scheduled, and our early afternoon joust is just kicking off, and we’re hopeful that the rain holds off to allow us to host the final later today!
