The correct response to this would be to leave NATO. This military cooperation organization serves a purpose only when the Europeans need it. Our most significant future conflict scenario would be with China. If NATO does not support us in the case of Iran, it is 100% certain that they would not help us against China either. So @SecRubio, @StateDept why keep spending a fortune on NATO if, when push comes to shove, the Europeans won't support the U.S.?
