In 1939, a woman in full hijab in Lebanon crossed the border into Iraq. She would later end up in Germany, shake hands with Hitler, and help build a dedicated Muslim regiment (the Waffen-SS) for the Nazis. That woman was this dude. Yes, the brave warrior of Allah ran away in a hijab like a bitch. But why? Because there was an arrest warrant for him in Palestine for a long string of crimes, among them the famous Hebron Massacre in which more than 60 Jews (including children) were slaughtered while praying. If you ever wondered about a “taqiyya,” this here is an example. Funny how the Grand Mufti wanted to eradicate the Jews from "Palestine" well before the creation of the modern state of Israel in 1948.

@rainaamit @OfficeOfLGJandK Iqbal deserves to be remembered. He carried Kashmiri Pandit genes, belonged to Saproo dynasty. Above all, he wrote: Saare Jehan Se Acha, Hindustan Hamara. Incidentally, we have a huge library in Kashmir University... Iqbal Library where hundreds of ancient manuscripts are stored.

Raised serious concerns about the condition of Kashmiri Pandit migrant camps across J&K and specifically at TRT Migrant Camp in Nagrota Constituency in the Assembly today. Also highlighted plight of the Talwara migrant camp in Reasi. Poor maintenance, lack of civic amenities, and infrastructure gaps must be addressed urgently. Sorry bro. That doesn’t make any sense. It’s a reality that no political party from Kashmir, no social group or religious organisation of Kashmiri Muslims in last 36 years has organised a protest against terrorism faced by Kashmiri Pandits or seek justice for the community. Charity or donation is out of question. We only see PR stories in Media when KMs organise funerals of elderly KPs who die in valley. Not many of them left now. There has been a collective silence. On the other hand you would see it was three KP journalists who raised the issue of brutal rape of a Muslim girl in Jammu few years ago despite facing backlash from their own community. That’s the difference.

That argument rests on a misleading conflation, Amit. Fiscal transfers to Jammu & Kashmir are a constitutional instrument of nation-building, not an endorsement of militancy. By that logic, every underdeveloped or conflict-affected region receiving central assistance would be “funding unrest,” which is clearly untenable. The Indian state has simultaneously invested in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and democratic processes while combating terrorism through security and intelligence frameworks. Militancy in Kashmir has complex roots—historical, geopolitical, and cross-border—not fiscal support. To equate developmental grants with “funding jihad” ignores both intent and outcome, and oversimplifies a deeply layered national and regional reality.

Every transaction a Kashmiri Muslim makes — every rupee spent at a market, every bill settled — feeds into a tax system that the State draws upon to address the tragedy of the Kashmiri Pandit exodus. They are, in the most literal fiscal sense, already contributing to the righting of a 37-year-old wrong that the sovereign itself has never fully corrected. To then turn around and weaponize their private acts of faith and charity as some kind of indictment is not argument — it is prejudice dressed in the language of accountability. And let us be precise about something: collective guilt being visited upon an entire people — including those who entered this world long after 1989 — is not a position that survives even cursory moral scrutiny. It is, at its core, the same logic that every form of bigotry has always relied upon. A law-abiding citizen's spiritual expression and the political catastrophes of a prior generation occupy entirely different moral universes. Conflating them is not analysis. It is vilification. One would expect that a certain standard of education might guard against this kind of reflexive xenophobia. That it evidently has not — is perhaps the more troubling revelation here.

At 6:30 am, I dropped my father, Prof VK Tripathi, at the metro station as he headed to Nuh. One should come and see this kind of determination. His only mission is unity and harmony ❤️
