Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

A lot of people need direction, I’d say majority, free thinking isn’t a majority trait, most people you come across will always need to be told what to do

Reinforcing negative neural pathways via therapy or introspection is a recipe for misery. Don’t cut a rut in the road.

In 2008, 62% of teachers said they were very satisfied with their job. In 2022, that dropped to 12%. We've got a serious problem brewing in education...

I’m proud to be joining SpaceX and xAI with @milichab It has become clear that software is changing fundamentally. More and more, people can shape the tools they use directly, and the ceiling of what can be built keeps rising. What makes xAI special is the scale of its ambition: to build from first principles all the way out to the stars. I’m especially grateful to work on products that expand human agency and freedom. That mission is deeply personal to me. My family came to the United States fleeing communism, and the belief that freedom should be part of the next generation of the internet has driven me every day since Andrew and I started Skiff. Now, we get to work on intelligence, understanding, and freedom on a universal scale.

Capitalism is the most generally beneficial economic system we know but this is the worst possible case for it Giant tvs are cheaper but housing, medical care, education, and everything people actually need to have a family has exploded in cost

Time changes are dumb. Let's fix them. Did you know our current timezones were drawn by the railroads 140 years ago? Let's modernize them with what I'm calling the "Sunrise Rule"... using actual solar data. Use 5 timezones and target the latest sunrise of the year at around 8:20 AM, and we get this map. It ain't perfect, but it works. Currently the US swings between UTC-4 and UTC-8 throughout the year, that's 5 zones we rotate through, crammed into 4 at any given moment. Why not just use all 5 and leave it be? Every time Congress tries to fix DST, they keep the same 4 zones and it fails because northern cities end up with 9 AM sunrises. No dark mornings AND more evening light. Daylight Savings crowd wins. Standard time crowd wins. No more clock changes. Everybody wins.
