Anybody else recall having experiments run on them as a child? Especially spectrumy folks… Like being pulled out of class, pretty regularly and taken to a soundproof room with two people, one of whom was always in a dark suit? 1/

@sal_danger @Hitchslap1 There is no false equivalency, but a misunderstanding on my behalf of the limited scope in which OP was referencing. Chill

Socialism only works in theory. It goes against human nature. Good idea, wrong species.

@oddroadmap @Hitchslap1 It’s a bit more complex than that, but the Potlatch is a good example of self regulation in a small group. I think… power and resource control tend to consolidate over time; moving from a fully decentralized state (anarchy) to a hyper centralized state (oligarchy)

There is a natural tendency for societies to become captured. Some tribes had a method for dealing with this called potlatch. They didn’t hide the money behind a foundation. They expressly gave it away to affirm their high rank. This preserved social standing yet reset society to start earning again.

@HSsai There are limits to be sure, but I’m not only talking about a single home or collective living. You help friends and family in need. That doesn’t mean you wholly support them financially or pool resources

@Hitchslap1 Incorrect. There are applications where it thrives, like what marriage and family are supposed to be. Like concentric circles, there is a center to your world and there are limits to which it is no longer applicable. The misapplication of theoretic principles leads to suffering

I think we would be much more stable if we removed the ability of corporations to capture governments. This is essentially done with bribery and I don’t see why ‘humans’ stand for ‘persons’ doing it. This creates a problem whereby what is not really capitalism is labeled as such and people naturally then run to communism.

It's an odd way to argue, isn't it? Having to pretend not to understand the concepts of privacy, dignity, humiliation, shame and embarrassment that a total breach of trust like this could cause a young girl.

@maybe_ellen @helenstaniland @TamsinLisa What are some issues that could arise if a girl talks about puberty with a transgirl not knowing they were born male?

@helenstaniland They've really enshrined make believe as a worthy adult endeavor. Their childlike nature is so starkly at odds with their inherently violent movement though.

@helenstaniland I think an odd way to argue is to dodge questions and try to force me to presume what your qualms are while never actually giving ant qualms besides the person is trans But hey, to each their own i guess

Sorry to chime in but yes I’ve read Marx and know the history that he was writing his drivel in US American newspapers… no thank you it was garbage then and garbage now. It was propaganda. It was never a good idea and several places in the world have already proved it. No we don’t need that garbage here.
