Even more fundamental, if we were in a simulation, it doesn’t change anything about God. If you have a proper concept of God, as the unmoved mover and creator of all, that would include the simulation and whoever or whatever created the simulation, whether it’s God or another of his creations.

Some people prematurely reject the idea that we might be in a simulation because of religion but I would challenge that notion entirely. In reality it would basically confirm that God is real to all non-believers. Who else could create such an advanced, incredible simulation?
