For my friends who are still using UV and might be a little weary about recent compromises to PyPi packages, stick this in your pyproject.toml. You can let all of those pip users find and report the compromises...

I suspect GLM, Kimi etc are under higher than normal load as Claude is dishing out both today: - major incidents taking availability offline (again) - cutting max users token limits to levels that don't support a couple hours work For a model to be good - its has to be available.

GLM 5.1 is the slowest frontier model we've ever benchmarked on BridgeBench. 44.3 tokens per second. Half the speed of GPT 5.4. Nearly 6x slower than Grok 4.20. Z.ai traded all of their speed for intelligence. The coding benchmarks improved. The throughput collapsed. In 2026, agentic coding is about parallelism. You're running 5, 10, 15 agents at once. A model this slow bottlenecks every workflow it touches. Intelligence without speed is a luxury most vibe coders can't afford. bridgebench.ai

@Everlier @Zai_org Ive been coding in glm 5.1 and CC 4.6 opus all morning - both have not failed me, at some point both are just good enough depending on use-case. FastApi / React / Postgres stack here in K8s.

It's a really great release. However, it's funny to see how benchmarks are chosen to highlight specific progress items sometimes contradict previous claims. GLM-5 was really close to Opus 4.5, wasn't it? Or it wasn't according to the new one? Too many turns and twists in what is being tested and how. Hard to trust any numbers other than interpreting them as "something improved" claim.

@Zai_org when GLM-5 dropped, you claimed it was more powerful than Opus 4.6. Now you're saying it was actually 40% weaker.. which part we should believe though?

@WarMonitor3 If you hit them every year this is the absolute fastest way to ensure they have nuclear weapons on no time. Everyone has seen what happened to Ukraine when gave up theirs and no Iran that has none. North Korea, Pakistan, Russia - own enterprise. These weapons are available.

Any expert on nuclear counter proliferation policy will tell you the only reliable way to prevent Iran having a nuclear bomb long term is regime change, unless we want to hit them every year for the next decade, considering the leadership is more extreme now.

4 prompts just reviewing previous work this morning, and I'm at 61% of my session limit, on the $100/mo plan. I love Claude Code but this is getting really stupid.

@adamghaida cant pay their electricity bill -- they scraped too much data and now their models are so fat they run at a loss would be my guess, along with investors seeing the moat does not exist - the idea of loss leading for 10 years is less and less appealing

@trq212 @Pranit (uses film narrator voice-over) but it was that deep, and just 11 days later the prediction of cutting limits like every other greedy saas before did come to pass cc @trq212 for don't cares and ignores.

Anthropic just pulled the oldest trick in SaaS pricing. I pay $200/mo for Claude Max. My limits have been noticeably worse this past week. Now they announce 2x off-peak usage for two weeks. Sounds generous. But here’s what actually happens: limits quietly drop, a temporary 2x makes the reduced limit feel normal, the promo ends, and you’re left at a baseline lower than where you started. You just didn’t notice the downgrade because the 2x absorbed the transition. These AI plans are massively subsidized. The raw compute behind a heavy user costs multiples of the subscription price. Every move like this is the subsidy quietly correcting. Very sneaky, Anthropic.
Claude@claudeai

A small thank you to everyone using Claude: We’re doubling usage outside our peak hours for the next two weeks.

A Russian soldier secretly guided Ukrainian strikes onto his own people and says it killed 150 Russians and wounded 50. For about 80 days, he shared his unit’s positions with Ukraine, and strikes landed 10–15 minutes after he sent the coordinates, United24. 1/

@EmmeSummerlin @visionergeo I oh i dont know, maybe because fucking russia is waging war in its doorstep, abducted 30,000 children, murdered 100 thousand and is pillaging and raping Ukrainian women daily. Anything supporting that should be treated as deserved

@visionergeo Is Ukraine an EU member? Is Ukraine part of NATO? Why do EU members vote if the EU penalizes them for not voting correctly? What is EU's responsibility over member states? Does the EU dictate from Brussels to member states? Does von der Leyen have a job description?
