@AshwiniBhide ma'am there are only two things you need to do apart from projects like roads, bridges, coastal roads, underground metros etc. that will ensure your name is written in golden letters in the history of Mumbai. 1. Waste management : a. Waste collection from home : Very Good. But can become better. At some locations it can be done twice a day. b. Waste Disposal : Poor. Building mountains of garbage in dump sites is bad. Need something to convert waste to electricity/ fertiliser kind of plants c. Road/footpath Cleaniness : Very Poor. Sweepers from BMC do a very poor job. Mechanisation (not big machines) but something handheld to collect garbage will help. 2. Foot Paths : We need clean (Point 1) and functional footpaths in most places. Street vendors should not be allowed on footpaths except in zones in each locality marked for such vendors. Walkable footpaths will enhance quality of life in the city.

As per standard practice, CC roads should not be cut without proper permission & reinstatement protocol
Utility works must follow IRC guidelines (like IRC:SP:50) for trenching & restoration
Restoration must be like-for-like (CC to CC) not paver blocks
There should be a Defect Liability Period (DLP) where contractor is responsible
Repeated cutting indicates poor coordination between utilities & Roads Dept

Site restoration is always the gotcha on municipal work. Most contractors bid the excavation/installation but forget the backfill compaction requirements and street restoration specs. That's where -10k gets eaten on seemingly simple jobs. Always read the closeout requirements before you quote.
