🚨 Hasan Piker Says Cuba Is the Closest Thing to a “Moral Country” and Claims October 7 Made People Rethink “Liberal Democracy in General” Piker praises Cuba as morally exceptional, pointing to its support for “anti-colonial resistance” abroad, especially its military interventions in Africa, as proof. That framing conveniently ignores that the Cuban regime has long backed armed revolutionary movements and other causes widely understood as aligned with terrorism or political violence, all while presenting itself as a force for justice. He goes even further, arguing that the aftermath of October 7 pushed people in the West to rethink not just Israel, but “liberal democracy in general.” Piker also insists Cuba has “done nothing to America, nothing at all,” and dismisses the idea that communism is responsible for the island’s economic failures as “just objectively not true,” blaming U.S. policy and “propaganda” instead. Taken together, it is a sweeping defense of regimes, movements, and narratives defined less by morality than by their opposition to the West.

As someone who absolutely fears the left's growing power, I think the smart play is for moderate Dems to go on Piker's show and agree with him that Israel is bad and then stick to their guns on other moderate stuff.

Honestly what year is it?

Can anyone explain how Trump can take$1.25 billion appropriated for foreign aid and divert it to his private “Board of Peace”, but Biden lacked authority for reducing student loan debt?

NEW: Federal law enforcement officers disrupted what was described as a plot to assassinate Nerdeen Kiswani, the leader of one of NY’s most active pro-Palestinian protest groups, on Thursday night. nytimes.com/2026/03/27/nyr…

Some of us expressed great concern about the Iran War when it was first launched. We were shouted down and condemned as “panicans” and “blackpillers” and even Islamist sympathizers. But it’s pretty clear from how things have gone that our concerns were absolutely reasonable and legitimate. Maybe Trump will get us out of this thing soon and it still won’t spiral into a long and drawn out war. But even if that happens — and I’m not convinced it will — no thoughtful person can deny at this point that the spiral and long war scenario is very much a possibility. No reasonable person, at this stage, can say that our concerns were irrational. What looks irrational now — and always did — is the demand for blind allegiance and unthinking “trust” in our elected leaders, as though we are called to have faith in politicians like we have faith in God.
