@levelsio Stayed at the hotel in the second pic last year. Internet speeds > 50mbps, I was able to do a day of meetings without issue. Not sure if the connection speed was universal or limited to the hotel. Gorgeous area

@Eurostar CC @seatsixtyone is this normal? Barely space to stand and travelling with a small child. Have to discount Eurostar from future travel plans if so :/

@seatsixtyone I tried to take this once. I made the restaurant reservation, got the perfect length route from the South etc. when the train arrived it was a 5 car train with no dining. Not only that but standing room only in first class!

Cron have officially transitioned to Notion Calendar. Going from one of the nicest app icons on my home screen, to this sludge of crap that someone, somewhere, thought was a good idea. 🤮

When we first started driving EVs the UKs grid intensity was 441g CO2/kWh, meaning our EV was emitting 110g CO2/mile or 68g CO2/KM Grid intensity has lowered drastically since then (2023 162gCO2/kWh) so last year driving an EV meant you'd have averaged approximately 40.5g CO2/mile or 25g CO2/KM. That's anywhere between 4 & 10 times cleaner than an ICE car and......... that's before we add crude oil extraction, fractional distillation and transportation emsisions to the ICE car's figures. Happy clean air 🙏🏼 carbonbrief.org/analysis-uk-el….

For Cron users, here are all the things that change: - The name & icon. And all the things that don’t change: - The quality app you love. - The committed team behind it. - The attention to details. - The roadmap including Android. - That it's freely available. - My posts on here about weird & beautiful time things. 🧡

Super excited to introduce: Notion Calendar It's the best way to manage, organize, and prioritize your time across work and life. But why build a better calendar? Time is arguably our most precious resource. To reimagine how we interact with time, I founded Cron in 2019. Since then, we've built a beloved product for people to better be in control of their time. Ever since Cron joined Notion, we've been exploring how to bring Calendar to Notion and built deep integrations between the two apps. Calendar is where you manage your time, and Notion is where you manage your information. Now, you can add richer context to each event with Notion pages, and display key dates or milestones, directly from your Notion databases. Our vision with Notion Calendar is to bring the digital time layer into all aspects of Notion -- notes, projects, tasks, and more.

@bytebln Similar problem. Thought I had a dodgy touch screen. Upgrading to the ios17 beta seems to have fixed it though. So hopefully it will be available to all in a few days.

Is it just me, or is typing on the iPhone keyboard becoming increasingly difficult and annoying? I am constantly pressing the wrong buttons/keys; it worked perfectly fine in the past 😖

@amotorhomme @TMBlakeEurostar Indeed. Exactly how airlines work. So if there’s more demand for agile departures I guess staff may also have such rotas/opportunities. The larger the network and greater the interoperability, the more cost effective it becomes I assume.

@TMBlakeEurostar This is really interesting. A lot of similar stuff happens with aircraft rescheduling. I wonder if this is a good argument to further integrate the rail network, vehicle + staff availability and serviceability to make creating of “just in time” services easier.

@paul_winginit That’s quite encouraging really! I see the price of rail being the biggest downside right now.

@au_tom_otive In fairness, whilst I don’t get motion sickness, the acceleration/regen curve on a Model Y is way harsher than an older Model S. I find the former much harder to drive smoothly.

Booking the Glacier Express this summer? I confess I was really missing a trick here, but I'm on it - I've now updated my booking advice that potentially saves you up to CHF 100 (about £87) on a Zermatt-St Moritz ticket. #how-to-buy-tickets" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">seat61.com/trains-and-rou…
