Big vote for animals this week. On Thursday, the House will likely vote on whether to strike the Save Our Bacon Act from the farm bill.
Rep. Luna (R-FL) is leading a bipartisan amendment to strike the Act, which would wipe out state laws banning the sale of pork from crated pigs.
Pork industry lobbyists are already hard at work against her. They're counting on no one speaking up for the pigs. Prove them wrong.
Call the House at 202-224-3121. Give them your zip code and they'll connect you to your member's office. Ask them to vote YES on the Luna Amendment to remove the Save Our Bacon Act from the farm bill.

Hidden on page 744 of the farm bill the House Agriculture Committee passed Thursday is a provision that would condemn millions of pigs to a lifetime in gestation crates. Rebranded the 'Save Our Bacon Act,' it's a pork-industry play to wipe out every state law banning the sale of pork from crated pigs — laws the conservative Supreme Court upheld in 2023. Over 85% of Democrats and Republicans oppose these crates. Voters have backed ballot measures to ban them in state after state. The pork industry knows it can't win a straight vote on this. So it's burying the provision in an 800-page bill and hoping no one notices. Contact your senators and representative today and tell them: oppose the farm bill unless the Save Our Bacon Act is stripped out. You can reach them at senate.gov and house.gov — it takes two minutes and it matters.

Do you realize that when (or if) the Strait of Hormuz is actually opened one day, the spot cost of oil will plunge toward ZERO for a short while, just because Iran and other nations will be trying to get rid of it? Transportation will still cost, however, and so will refining, of course.

I'm honestly fascinated that the boulder king is so invested in my work but I appreciate it all the same. ❤️
As for it being two and a half years after the film released, I guess I just don't care? I release my videos when they are completed.
And as for the purpose?
The video is about how the film was made, what Disney said of it's creation.
What the writers, director and producers marketed it as vs ditched it as once the box office was revealed.
The sheer scale of talent in the crew that was wasted, the confusion of the ideas to create a story like this.
The reasons it doesn't resonate with audiences, the lack of work it does for its characters, the way they moved Brie Larson in as the new Avengers lead only to move her back out.
The themes, the meaning and the potential to be better had they taken this seriously while trying to find the rot at the heart of a story like this.
The idea is this major failure facilitates the changes in approach that now govern the newest entries in the MCU, reaching it's zenith with Doomsday.
I tried to pace it well, I tried to make it funny, I wanted snappy editing, I looked through countless sources for information and I think it turned out neat.

Two months into the Iran War, and global energy markets are short millions of barrels per day. Countries are rapidly facing mounting energy crises, and few options exist to fill the gap. The system still needs volume. Through a series of “temporary” measures, Treasury and OFAC controversially expanded access to Russian oil. General License 134 became 134A, then 134B. With 134B vastly expanding the pool of available energy products from Russia free of sanctions. Prior to these moves, Ural was trading at a discount to Brent. After? As high as a $15/barrel premium. Here’s the reality Washington now faces: There is no scalable replacement for lost Hormuz supply that doesn’t involve Russia. Not Iran. Not the U.S. Not anyone else. What concerns me about this is that there is REALLY only one solution that can stymie that rapidly accelerating energy crisis facing Asia and Oceania: A massive and sweeping unsanctioning of Russian energy. Not as a "strategy". As a desperate move to slap a band-aid on our ill-conceived decision to start this conflict, and Treasury's atrocious wargaming of their economic toolkit. By the White House and Treasury failing to plan and execute throughout this conflict, we are now facing an inevitable long-term replenishment of Russia's war chest the West has spent the past 4.5 years trying to deplete. #Russia #Iran #Oil #StraitOfHormuz #Trump
